~The FReeper Canteen Presents~ Road Trip: Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Mississippi
Naval Construction Battalion Center is a 1,100-acre U.S. Navy industrial complex located in Gulfport, Mississippi. It serves as home base for the Atlantic Fleet Seabees, which are the Navy's construction battalions.

NCBC exists to maintain and operate facilities and provide services and material in support of Naval Construction Force Units, to include Amphibious Construction Fleet Units, the Maritime Prepositioning Force (Enhanced), and other fleet and assigned organizational units deployed from or homeported at NCBC Gulfport, and to perform such other functions and tasks as may be assigned.
Seabees have resumed their peacetime strength of about 10,000 active duty and 12,300 reserve personnel. Today’s Seabees may be assigned to naval bases where they perform public works functions. Other Seabees are assigned to operational units, which deploy with the fleet. Active and reserve Seabee operational units include 20 Naval Mobile Construction Battalions, six deployable Regiments, two Seabee Readiness Groups, one Naval Construction Force Support Unit, two Construction Battalion Maintenance Units, two Underwater Construction Teams, and two Amphibious Construction Battalions.
NCBC Gulfport’s tenants are changing. With the drawdown in Afghanistan and tighter budgets, force reductions and restructuring needed to occur. 20SRG was renamed Naval Construction Group (NCG) 2 as part of the massive NCF restructuring. Included in the transformation, the 22NCR became an embedded yet independent Command capable of the forward deployment of an integrated Battle Staff that is able to execute combat service support missions across the spectrum of joint and combined military operations while providing command and control over Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) units as part of a robust Adaptive Force Package (AFP).

Howdy, lauren. *HUGZ*
Hope all’s going well and that you weathered storms passing through the past week.
We just had some rain and a couple of thunderstorms roll through but it’s quiet now. And wonderfully wet.

Hi and Nighty-night!, lauren! I’ve seen your long days and you deserve your rest.
Got me some new lime-green crocs today. The old ones that I wore to so many shoot trips finally fell apart. Like saying goodbye to an old friend. LOL!
See ya right here next week!

Howdy, luvie.
Did you ever spend a little time on the patio with the kitties to enjoy the nice weather?
Not very pretty here, and then it was wet. At least I opened windows to let some of the outside in. :-)

LOL
You’re so TINY, I bet your lime green crocs look adorable on you!
I think I could get away with it too, and if I bought a
(bright honkin’ yellow pair)
and it would make our BB in Heaven laugh, too!
(Y’know, the “peep” thing!)
It’s like, a little VW beetle would look so cute in
Lime Green, a Cadillac- not so much!

Hey there, radu!
I did go out there! I had hubby place the heavy tree trunk table that I had asked the tree guy for to the left of my chair [I'm left-handed]. I had to try it out. Worked out great. Grey sprawled on her back in the sun and Dottie flitted about in her Dottie way. LOL!
Wet IS pretty to me. That's when the windows or doors should be open in order to hear it and to smell it's wonderful scent. ⛈️

Well, I'm not as "tiny" as I used to be, weight-wise, but still really short. LOL! In fact, even shorter. Mylife used to tease me about those crocs. It's one reason I kept wearing them. 🤣 I know the "peep" thing well. *another evil grin*
There are YELLOW CROCS on eBay for about $31+shipping. That's the dealer where I got mine. I trust that dealer. Here's what they look like...size 7 women's.
