Multiple white male police officers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, are suing the Philadelphia Police Department over alleged discriminatory hiring and promotion practices.
The lawsuit — filed by America First Legal on behalf of five white police officers — contended that the law enforcement professionals were “passed over for promotions and denied advancement because of their race and sex,” according to a Feb. 26 release from the group.
Philadelphia allegedly tried to conform the racial demographics of the police force to the population of the overall city, causing them to pass over white officers for promotions.

The tide has definitely turned.
Any organization, public or private, with DEI/Affirmative Action policies are by definition practicing institutionalized discrimination against white males, and deserve to be sued.
Would we have seen this headline 3 years ago? What happened?
Truth! An honest legal assessment of this putrid policy should be its immediate death.
They are not the only ones that made it written policy, the others that did this have all lost in court big time and they will too.
Trump's second election!
If Philedelphua wants a black run force, go South young man.
I really hope this keeps going because our government is still infested with DIE. I would love to see the selection process for pilots and astronauts and if the females and blacks really are the most qualified for those positions. If they are, so be it. If they’re not, things need to change. (What are the chances that when you pick four of the absolutely best qualified people in the country to go to the moon one happens to be a female and one happens to be black?)
Yup. Every time I see a picture of the crew of the latest upcoming space flight, my invariable observation is, "Yeah, it looks like they checked all the usual boxes." I also always presume at least one of them is gay.
What happened was the Supreme Court made it extremely clear that so-called "reverse" discrimination was illegal. The Student for Fair Admission cases decided against against Harvard and UNC in 2023 effectively killed it.
Nah. It was the Supreme Court. But, we should absolutely give Trump credit for appointing three of the six justices who voted to toss affirmative action.
If Tptb would only carry their proportionality concept into everything..maybe we wouldn’t see all these black fire chiefs and chief of police in all these areas that are mostly white..maybe we can have more white football and basketball players (I suspect that they definitely discriminate against white players).

Pennsylvania Ping!

FReepmail me to be added to the list.
DEI is discrimination against qualified white people. It is widespread.
There needs to be a lot more of this
And that gal, well she ain't one.
It will take years to root out DEI and the rot that it has caused because it's everywhere.
After high school (circa 1979 (I thought might make a good fit at the city fire rescue dept.
Way before computers and the internet, job searches were primarily done through the newspaper.
Sure enough it wasn’t long until training positions open for the fire dept.
The process then was to go to city hall and apply.
When I got there the all the city’s open positions were posted on a large board.
When I found the fire training job, right at the top in bold capital letters was: “BLACK APPLICANTS ONLY NEED APPLY”.
That was my 1st experience with bias against Whites and since then, the accusation of racism has meant absolutely nothing to me.
When I gotv
Technically, it's actually been unlawful for awhile but there were a lot of blurry edges to it that made lawsuits difficult. The only time it was generally considered lawful is if there is a lawsuit proving discrimination against minorities by that particular employer in those particular jobs, and part of the verdict/remedy is a period of "affirmative action" to hire those who were discriminated against.
But, that basically got twisted to include "societal" discrimination, so it became much broader than intended. The Supreme Court has finally killed that, though.
