Record Review: John Cornyn Chose Jack Smith, Joe Biden, Illegal Aliens Over Trump, Texas
Breitbart ^ | 6 Mar 2026 | BRADLEY JAYE

Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-TX) record is receiving increased scrutiny as the Washington establishment spends tens of millions to save the embattled incumbent from a grassroots challenge by MAGA-aligned Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Cornyn and his allies spent a staggering $70 million in the primary to paint the four-term career politician as a friend of President Donald Trump with a conservative record – spending that made the Texas Republican Senate primary the most expensive primary in the nation’s history. But those Washington consultant-crafted ads hide that Cornyn has spent nearly a decade working to stop President Donald Trump and more than two decades undermining the conservative movement.

From his vocal opposition to Trump’s presidential campaigns and defense of the lawfare waged against Donald Trump to his sabotaging of the America First agenda, Cornyn has consistently turned his back on Trump when it mattered most.

Yes. He did. And the Republican committee gave him 100 million bucks to run a primary and gave Paxton nothing

Texas voted for Cornyn

He’s swampy but the consultants are telling Trump only he can win.

So take a chance at losing or go for the GOP sure thing with swamp?

That’s why I send NO money to the RNC. Haven’t for over 15 years. (One year I sent them monopoly money - fake money for fake Republicans.)

I donate to individual campaigns of candidates who have proven themselves as conservative.

I have a hard time believing any of this.

This afternoon: Reports are that Trump tells Thune and Cornyn that the SAVE America Act must be on his desk BEFORE he gives an endorsement to either Cornyn or Paxton.

This is the way.

Texas voted for Cornyn

Moderate Paxton + conservative Hunt got more than leftist Cornyn did. So why does the leftist automatically win?

What are the accusations against Paxton and were they true?

Cornyn is a despicable, two-faced POS, and Trump needs his head examined for even thinking about supporting him. Hell, that Democrap schmuck would be better choice!

Why exactly is Paxton so unelectable? He's won THREE statewide races in Texas. Is Texas so far left they will only vote for a lefty like Cornyn over a moderate like Paxton?

How did he get elected by a majority of voters three times as AG, if they don't like him?

With Paxton though, Texans have to keep the pressure on, or he will be just like Cornyn in a few years.

I donate to individual campaigns of candidates who have proven themselves as conservative.

Even more than 50% of those go bad. Remember, Cornyn and Thune didn't start bad, but they got there quickly enough.

This is not complicated except for Cornyn and other RINOs: If I recall correctly, the the Senate can change its own rules by majority vote. Get rid of the filibuster and pass the SAVE American Act and other MAGA legislation. When RATs take control of the Senate, then prior to the date they are sworn in, reinstate the filibuster by majority vote and then change the Senate rules by majority voter to require a supermajority vote to change the filibuster rules going forward.

John Cornyn compared January 6 to 9/11, and called attendees “white supremacists, domestic terrorists, insurrectionists, rioters, seditionists, anarchists.”

He then asked then-FBI Director Chris Wray if a new law was needed to charge attendees with “domestic terrorism.”

Trump needs to either endorse neither or endorse Paxton.

Trump is now saying he will endorse neither until the SAVE America Act is on his desk. I think that is the right move.

LOL. Trusting Thune and/or Cornyn is a terrible mistake.

Cornyn’s been bad for as long as I’ve known him. I’ve been voting since 1980.

It would take a book to explain it.

But basically, Texas RINOS teamed up with Democrats to try impeach and remove Paxton from office. It was mainly on made up charges, lies, circumstantial evidence, and innuendo.

Old Rino/Dem move. Split the conservative vote. Hunt was offered something.

Thanks. Rinos are as evil as dems. They just want power and money.
