U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle crashed near Al Jahra, Kuwait, with both the pilot and weapons systems officer ejecting safely and surviving, according to footage circulating online and Arab media reports. Official authorities have not confirmed the cause of the crash.
Widely shared videos on social media showed what was identified as an F-15E Strike Eagle crashing west of Al Jahra, Kuwait.
White smoke was visible in the sky, leading to speculation that the aircraft may have been struck by friendly fire.
Both the pilot and weapons systems officer onboard appeared to have survived, with footage showing one of the crew members descending by parachute after ejecting from the aircraft.
An additional video showed the crew member being placed into a civilian vehicle by locals before being transferred to local authorities in Kuwait.

Ouch!
At least not like they cost as much as F-47..
Sounds like an accident. Any time the military engages in intense activity, whether in combat or simply training back home, accidents can occur, especially in aviation.
Flames coming from rear fuselage area. Could be a manpad shoulder fired missile in that part of the world. Or an uncontained engine failure. Very close to a base so odd that a single engine failing would preclude landing.
We may find out... someday. If it was hit with a missile some distance away and they were fighting it and lost control... I would HOPE the Air Force would not release that information.
No need to help out anyone shooting at US planes.
LookNERD is reporting that there were several downed planes from AP and Reuters.
Of course take that with a salt lick.

Thank the Lord.
I watched him a couple of times.
Several years ago, he unexpectedly burst out a random TDS comment.
Several people immediately reacted.
I never watched him again after that.
I don’t know if I ever will. This was during some weather event.
I complained to him he’s not qualified to do the weather. Awful.
He’s insufferable. Just click-bait. All hype and neurosis.
Unfortunately, good guys are asleep when I have insomnia. π
There are channels watching freight trains πππππ

Haha!
In England, they used to call them “anoraks” or “train spotters”.
But they would be out in the elements to do it at the time.

At least they drive on the right side of the road π£οΈ π£οΈ

I guess with all that surveillance in the UK...they can just do it from home.
I live back in the US, now, but will occasionally see train spotters filming in our area.
Try THREE shot down no worries the Taxpayer will take care of it. .
This and two other fixed wing aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwait air defense systems.
WSJ reporting this as confirmed by US.

Blue/Blue fires are always a concern in that environment.
