Two heroic off-duty Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers patrolling in Minnesota saved the life of a four-year-old boy who drowned after falling into a hotel pool.
The young boy’s panicked mother approached the off-duty officers last Friday as they were eating at a restaurant in the Minneapolis suburb of Plymouth hoping they could help save her unresponsive son. The officers jumped to the rescue.
The child had been under water for over five minutes after jumping into the pool to find a toy, the local police department said.
The agents performed CPR on the child for several minutes before paramedics arrived and he eventually regained consciousness.
The Daily Wire obtained a letter the Plymouth Police Department sent to ICE in recognition of their heroic actions, saying the federal officers responded “without hesitation … immediately began CPR and activated emergency medical services.”
“The child was not breathing and showed no signs of life,” the letter read.
“In a situation like this, the first few minutes of emergency aid and quality CPR are critical. Without the quick response and professional actions [of the officers] the outcome of this event would have likely been tragic.”
The department spoke with one of the officers, who they said humbly “tried to downplay” their lifesaving work.
“On behalf of the Plymouth Police Department, I want to extend our thanks and gratitude for the efforts [of the ICE officers] in saving the life of a 4-year-old boy … truly excellent work,” the department said.
The Department of Homeland Security is also praising the officers for their “heroism and swift action … to save the life of a sweet, innocent child.”
“If our agents had not been there and stepped up, this would have been a tragic outcome,” Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis told The Daily Wire.
“Because of their training, these two agents were able to save a life. Our agents are the best of the best. Every single day they put their lives on the line to save American lives. President Trump and Secretary Noem will always stand with our law enforcement. If you see a law enforcement officer today, thank them for their service.”
Following two fatal shootings involving federal immigration agents, the Trump administration ended “Operation Metro Surge,” which deployed thousands of federal immigration agents to Minnesota to arrest illegal immigrants and investigate fraud.
The drawdown also came after President Donald Trump’s border czar brokered a deal, securing what he called “unprecedented cooperation” from local authorities who previously refused to work with ICE.
ICE still maintains an office in the Twin Cities and continues operations, albeit at a smaller scale.

LSM headline tonight:
ICA agents dragged 4-year-old from hotel pool while swimming. Boy was seen shivering in fear as they detained him.
Thank God those 2 ICE agents were quick and ready to save this child. So, this happened in a hotel pool?
The 4 year old must have wandered away from his Mother.
I never had kids. but have always heard how quickly they can move and walk out of sight. It only takes a few moments to slip away because something caught their interest.
Thank God for our ICE agents.
Is Boasberg going to order the kid back to the bottom of the pool?
It’s stories like this that keep ending up on the cutting room floor of every major news room around the world.
Moms can have it very tough, especially in today’s world. So many think they have to be bread earners and top flight moms. But the simple things like watching the kids so that they don’t wander off, or play with dangerous things ( e.g electrical sockets)is very important, also.
The old aphorism that mothers of young children go kookoo could partially be due to constant vigilance of young children, and lack of sleep maintaining a safe and nurturing home environment.
IMHO
Just imagine the boys fate if it were tampon Tim sitting in the bar.
This can’t be true. We are told that ICE agents are just untrained thugs who kidnap Americans off the streets and terrorize entire neighborhoods./s

Ice cream trucks lie to you - they all say “Slow Children”.
The little buggers are Quick. Gone in seconds.
Constant attention required.
“I’ll take headlines you won’t see in the MSM for $400, Alex”
How about: “ICE agents seize 4-year-old boy as mother pleads for help.”
Ohh, even better! Good one.
Our niece and her husband have three young boys (grown up now). We (my wife & I) were in Dallas on a business trip and they visited us at our hotel for brunch. Remarked to my wife after their visit ... as parents (particularly of boys) you need eyes in the back of your head. They demonstrated that ability several times in the few hours they spent with us ... the kids were well behaved, but the parents have to stay ahead of them every minute.
Sigh.
And the media will report it as “Four ICE agents kidnap 4 year old from undocumented fish guardians”.
Yes, indeed!
I’m sure the enemedia will play this story up- bigly! < /sarc >
