The far-right activist Tommy Robinson has been hosted by the Trump administration for a meeting at the state department in Washington.
Robinson, 43, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was hosted by Joe Rittenhouse, a senior adviser at the state department.
Rittenhouse wrote on X: “Honoured to have free speech warrior @TRobinsonNewEra at Department of State today.
“The world and the West is a better place when we fight for freedom of speech and no one has been on the front lines more than Tommy. Good to see you my friend!”
Robinson, who has convictions for assault, using a fake passport, mortgage fraud and contempt of court for repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee in breach of an injunction, wrote on X: “In America making alliances & friendships, today I had the privilege of an invite to the @StateDept.”
Earlier this month, the far-right agitator said he has left the UK after he was warned by police that they received intelligence he was named in a so-called Islamic State publication which encouraged others “to commit violence” against him.
He posted a clip of a phone call from police to his X account in which an officer told him he had been identified in a magazine called Yalghaar, which is reportedly published by ISKP (Islamic State Khorasan Province).

I can never figure out why they always remind us that Tommy Robinson’s real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. So? Yaxley as in Harry Potter? Lennon as in the Beatles? What dark “ah ha” is there in that? Did he take the name Tommy Robinson because it’s easier to pronounce and remember? Well, I don’t blame him. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is quite a mouthful. But why are they so obsessed with it??
It’s to try and slant the reader that he is deceitful and dishonest, “doesn’t even use his real name!”.
Of course, that is dishonest in itself - there’s plenty of people that go by another name when it is never mentioned. But for Tommy, it’s said 100% of the time. It’s a joke at this point, I think every person on the planet knows.
And for the record:
- Assault -> didn’t start the fight
- Passport -> he admits it was a stupid mistake
- Mortgage fraud -> he loaned his brother-in-law a downpayment, not disclosed properly and received JAIL time for it
- “lying” about a Syrian boy -> exposed the truth about what happened and the corruption within the legal system that lied about it
- etc.
From the moment he went after the problems that come with Islam, it’s nothing but “prison for you! ...any excuse”. With the expectation the Muslim-run prisons would take care of their problem.
He’s the bravest man in Britain imho. He’s calling for another rally on May 16th. It’s going to be huge, he says he’ll be there. He is the free speech they hate, enemy #1.

Thanks for posting the clarifications. I was about to do so, and for once I read down thread and see that you covered it. Tommy has been persecuted relentlessly. Glad he is getting recognition for the free speech aspects of his protests, since being “England for the English” is a non-starter over there now. A thousand years of Kings and Queens are turning in their graves.

It’s crazy - nobody would tell Nigeria it is too Nigerian, or China is too Chinese. When people say, “Britain is a multi-cultural society”, what they’re really saying is “Britain has been conquered and no longer has its own identity”.
It’s disgusting and the natives are done with it - but listen to the media and it’s like they’ve a spell over them, calling anyone questioning anything ‘racist’ as though there’s no problem emerging from the immigration.
I’ve been watching Tommy for almost 20 years. He’s never been anything the media make him out to be. He is a true Knight, unrelenting, never surrenders...but you can see the PTSD.
He’s also openly declared he is now Christian. God bless him.
