College students protested at several universities in Tehran, Iran International reported.
At Amirkabir University, students blocked one of the nearby streets.
Meanwhile, at Sharif University, students held a protest ceremony in memory of those killed in the previous wave of demonstrations. The protesters chanted, “Death to Khamenei!"
The university president addressed the clashes on campus and sided with the Iranian government, claiming, “The enemy is trying to force the university to move to an online format. Anyone carrying out illegal actions must be dealt with."
In a Friday speech, US President Donald Trump said that Iran “better negotiate a fair deal", while slamming the regime’s leadership over their crackdown on anti-government protests last month.
“You know, the people of Iran are a lot different than the leaders of Iran. And it's a very, very sad situation. 32,000 people were killed over a relatively short period of time," Trump said, marking the first time he has mentioned the death toll in the crackdown. “They were going to hang 800, two weeks ago, some by crane. They lift them up with a tall crane and they play them around the square."
“They were going to hang 837 people and I gave them the word: ‘If you hang one person, even one person, that you're going to be hit right then and there.’ I wasn't waiting two weeks and negotiating, and they gave up the hanging. They didn't hang 837. Supposedly they didn't hang anybody," he added.

I don’t think the Mullahs are Persian.
The revolutionaries do not have military training, for the most part, except for the defectors from the army, police and IRGC. Most do not know how to use a firearm of any sort. But if you air drop AK-47s to them, the elements still loyal to Moush-Ali Homina-homina will be able to claim justification for mowing them down indiscriminately. They have already done the most important work, standing up to the regime with their bodies, and bleeding as a result. US and IDF forces will have to provide the firepower from the air, at strategically important locations.
Still waiting for Iran to kill enough civilians to get them across Trump’s red line.
There is always, as you express, a reason not to stand up to tyranny.

RE: CIA college students....
Like Robert Redford in Three Days of the Condor. His job at the CIA was to “read things.” Looking for things like in Red Storm Rising where minor news stories about complaints about batteries being out of stock all over Russia revealed that the regime needed all the batteries it could get for the submarines to be readied for war.
The scene in Three Days of the Condor where Robert Redford suddenly grabbed and held Faye Dunaway to lie next to him and quietly told her to not scream as the killers were searching for them had him promise not to take advantage of her. “Aw, that’s too bad, darn it” was not in the script but women may have thought Dunaway could have thought it.
Tucker Carlson is very upset at this. Time for a visit to Tehran.
