White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt appeared to be in disbelief on Wednesday when CBS News White House correspondent Ed O’Keefe asked for examples of when President Donald Trump had been wrongly accused of racism.
O’Keefe cited Trump’s response to the death of civil rights activist Jesse Jackson, in which Trump said he had been “falsely and consistently called a racist.” Leavitt said that her office was prepared to provide a “plethora of examples” of Democrats and the left-wing media accusing Trump of racism.
“Yesterday, in his statement about Jesse Jackson, the president said, ‘despite the fact that I’m falsely and consistently called a racist by the scoundrels and lunatics on the radical left, Democrats all, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.’ Where or when does the president believe he’s been falsely called racist?” O’Keefe asked.
“You’re kidding, right?” Leavitt replied. “ I will pull you a plethora of examples. I’m going to get my team in that room to start going through the internet of radical Democrats throughout the years and who have accused this president falsely of being a racist. And I’m sure there’s many people in this room and on network television across the country who have accused him of the same. In fact, I know that because I’ve seen it with my own eyes.” (RELATED: Trump Nominee Goes On Offense After Chuck Schumer Accuses Him Of ‘White Supremacy’)
WATCH:
When Trump launched his first presidential campaign in 2015, the legacy media and Democrats accused him of launching racist attacks toward Mexicans for saying that some illegal immigrants were rapists. His opponent at the time, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, said in August 2016 that Trump was “peddling bigotry and prejudice and paranoia.”
Democrats claimed that Trump encouraged neo-Nazism and white supremacy through his response to the riot in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017. Trump stated during a press conference that while some people at the rally were “very fine people,” those who were neo-Nazis and white nationalists should be “condemned totally.”
During the 2020 presidential primary, candidates like Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Democratic Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke outwardly called Trump a “white supremacist.”
Members of the liberal media constantly called Trump “racist,” including in 2018 when Trump labeled African nations “shithole countries” and in response to an artificial intelligence video depicting former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes. The video also depicted several other Democrats as jungle animals, while Trump was a lion.
In August 2024, MS NOW host Lawrence O’Donnell asserted that Trump is the “most racist” occupant of the White House who did not own slaves.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, liberal media figures and prominent Democrats compared Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City in October 2024 to the 1939 Nazi rally that took place at the stadium.

At some point, one is embarrassed when found to be arguing with children.
Rumor has it that some journalist also once called Trump a Nazi. But this rumor is without evidence and has been debunked.
Leavitt should have been better prepared. She failed.
Why even dignify these presstitutes with a reply?
“You’re kidding, right?” was all the answer she needed to give. That and a condescending eye-roll.
Some things just go without saying. If she assumed that it was one of those things then I think she assumed correctly.
We’ve always been at war with EastAsia
Such blatant ignorance or deception is unacceptable.
Every one of Ed O’Keefe’s bosses at CBS need to be bombarded with video clips of all the times Donald Trump has been called a racist, until CBS removes Ed O’Keefe from the White House assignment.
Particularly if there’s a quote from him calling DJT racist.
In her next briefing can we expect Karoline to have a video montage?
In her next briefing can we expect Karoline to have a video montage?
Even Rocky had a mon-tage!
Anyway, racist is so widely overused term, it basically lost its meaning.
Nowadays “racist” is a slur, which denotes a person, who is disliked by Democrats for any reason.
Even Dems are aware of it so they came with “white supremacist” which was for a while new, strong term.
But it is being overused also, so it is basically means the same as “racists”. Another leftist slur.
Although I see a new trend, the Republicans are starting to call their opponents racists.
I wasn’t a racist until you said I was one.
Someone put a video clip of this on X followed by video clips of about 50 high profile people saying Trump’s a racist. Trump is like the worst racist ever.
Leavitt should have been better prepared. She failed.
*********
Do you expect her to carry around a list of date/time examples? How would you have handled this stupidity?
They keep bringing up the 1939 Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden. And how we were supposed to be outraged that Trump had a rally at the modern venue also called Madison Square Garden.
1. How many Democrat conventions have been held at places called Madison Square Garden? Why didn’t the media call out Democrats for using a facility by that name, when they were telling us to be outraged at Trump.having a rally at a place with the same name?
2. It’s factually incorrect to have said thst Trump had a rally at the same place as the Nazi rally, because there have been more than one facility named Madison Square Garden over the years.
But we know facts don’t matter to certain people.
“ Leavitt should have been better prepared. She failed.”
