Christian pastor arrested and police visit his home after he commented on Islam and trans ideology (UK)

Police arrested a Christian pastor after he commented on Islam and transgender ideology while street preaching in Bristol city centre.

Pastor Dia Moodley, 58, was arrested by Avon and Somerset Police officers last November in Broadmead on suspicion of “inciting religious hatred” under the Public Order Act 1986.

The arrest was justified for his speech of “anti-islam and transgender rhetoric,” on suspicion of inciting religious hatred, despite the fact that he had "merely publicly shared his Christian views”.

Pastor Moodley said: “This latest arrest has had a profoundly negative effect on me and has been extremely challenging personally.

“I am a law-abiding citizen and it feels surreal that the police have criminalised me so harshly and repeatedly merely for peacefully expressing my Christian views in the public square.

“Unfortunately, I believe that the police view me, a Christian pastor, as an easy target and are afraid of others being offended by my lawful speech. This is two-tier policing in action.”

The pastor, who suffers from a heart condition, was held in a police cell for eight hours before being released under censorial bail conditions, banning him from entering and therefore preaching in Bristol city centre over the Christmas period.

The bail conditions were dropped after Pastor Moodley made representations to the police, but two police officers later visited his home on January 8, questioned him further on the November incident, and invited him to a voluntary interview under caution.

The East Germans could have taken a lesson from Keir Stasi’s ‘freedom of speech’.

Trump should immediately threaten 100% sanctions on the judge and prosecutor unless he is released and all charges dropped. This means a total ban on participation in U.S. financial institutions, the SWIFT system, and even the use of U.S. based cloud and software providers like Google and Microsoft 365. He did this to the ICC and they had to spend $4 million to switch from Microsoft products, as well as CRM and payroll services.

LGBT and Islam: A Match Made in Hell. Islam has a long history of sodomite proclivities since Mohammed raped his male captives to the entire Madrassah system and Baka Bazi.

There is a video on YouTube of a Muslim protest march through the streets of London. A Jewish guy (wearing a kippah) happens to be standing on the sidewalk.

He is approached by some UK police. To protect him? No. To tell him to move along, as his presence might upset the Muslims.

Only a military coup can save Britain now.

Oh, and here’s the video.

Britain is lost
It was lost when they gave up their guns
Their free speech followed
I can’t believe these are the same people who fought so valiantly in WWII
France is the same
It is the duty of a muzzie to lie to an infidel if it furthers the cause of Islam

...under the Public Order Act 1986
Look, they're giving their edicts numbers just like in Atlas Shrugged.

Can't even be bothered to mis-name the law as something that sounds wholesome and in the public good.

Such cases will soon become common in the United States, I'm afraid.

Other U.S. allies have laws restricting freedom of speech, even if they are rarely used.

In early 2003 two Baptist missionaries from the USA and two Filipino preachers (the four worked together regularly) were were booked on the criminal charge called, "Offending the Religious Feelings" (yes, the definite article is found in the law's title; the law passed in 1951), for holding a sign publicly exposing what the Baptists believed to be dangerously heretical doctrine of a Filipino cult called in Tagalog, "Ang Dating Daan" ("The Old Paths), led by a nefarious fellow names Eli Soreano, since deceased.

In the Philippines, such charges don't have to be referred to or filed by a public prosecutor; private attorneys (in this case retained by the cult, Ang Dating Daan) may file CRIMINAL charges against people. It is not "suing" someone, but actually charging them criminally. And there is NO jury system in the Philippines.

The case took TEN YEARS, and three successive judges. The four defendants were out on bail the entire ten years.

The U.S. Embassy in Manila monitored the case for the entire decade. In the end the two American missionaries were found "Not guilty," probably because the Philippines DOJ didn't want the hassle from the U.S. government over this. The two Filipino preachers were found guilty on one count each and given a very light probation. One of those Filipino men was actually a beloved active duty Military officer--considered a hero, in fact--, and the Philippines military structure told the judge that he could just kick rocks, and the officer was not held to the conditions of probation. Nobody went to jail.

The cult that had their lawyers file the charges (an make no mistake: they were CRIMINAL charges) would have withdrawn them, had the Baptists just offered some money, but the Baptists refused to pay such a bribe for conscience sake, and that is why the case got drug out for a decade.

Through the case the court kept reminding everyone that there is no "freedom of expression" in the Philippines as there is in the USA.

France is the same

France fought in WWI, not in WWII.

The Brits were able to fight in WWII but they ended up losing their empire.
