Senator John Cornyn Contributed To Murkowski and Romney Campaigns Following Their Pro-Impeachment Votes Against Trump

Texas Senator John Cornyn has provided financial support to the campaigns of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and former Utah Senator Mitt Romney, both known for their votes to convict former President Donald Trump during his impeachment trials. Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reveal contributions from Cornyn’s Victory Committee to both senators’ campaigns after their high-profile votes to convict President Trump.

According to FEC filings, the Cornyn Victory Committee donated $367,763.46 to Lisa Murkowski’s campaign for U.S. Senate. These contributions followed Murkowski’s 2021 vote to convict Trump during his second impeachment trial, led by then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, related to the January 6th. In a statement after her vote, Murkowski said, “By inciting the events that culminated on January 6, President Trump’s actions and words were not protected free speech. While I honor our constitutional rights, including freedom of speech, that right does not extend to the President inciting violence.”

He is an absolute POS. There is not a conservative bone in his body. I hope his defeat comes to pass.

We have a saying here in Texas...

"He's all hat and no cattle." That's what Cornyn is.

We can only hope, my fellow Texans haven’t been that smart over the last 10-12 years with him.

I’m voting for Paxton.

Me and my whole family are too. I saw a pic of him and President Trump and it made me sick to think the President is endorsing this back-stabbing, Demonrat-loving POS!!!!

Don’t blame me :)....I voted for him in his first run and haven’t voted for him since. I hope Paxton mops the floor with Corny and people are waking up to the fact that RINO’s are just as bad if not worse than Demonrats!!!

The knives are out for Paxton and his personal life isn’t helping. I am more worried about a dimwit sneaking n a win in the general.

I totally agree......they fear Paxton because he will do the job he’s elected to. I’ve said his personal life is between him and God. The left and RINO’s have a wad in their drawers and can’t afford to have Paxton in office of any kind. God bless him......I pray he wins......have a good ‘un....;)

He absolutely should be defeated. He’s a backstabber and the worst kind of RINO.

But can Paxton win a general election with all his baggage? I would still prefer Cornyn to any Democrat but don’t think I would vote for him the March 3 primary. Leaning Paxton

All senators and former senators are snakes.

Cornyn, Romney, and Murkowski are among the lowest of the low at least in the Republican wing of the uniparty.

Dems set the bar a bit lower.

With Wesley Hunt in the primary, there’s going to be a runoff. If Hunt or Paxton come in 3rd, their supporters are going to vote for the other.

Hunt and Paxton have not had one as against the other. Cornyn is so scared of finishing 3rd, all his negative ads go after Hunt. Cornyn could possibly finish 3rd.
