In one sense, Saddam Azlan Salim is a classic immigrant success story. Born in Bangladesh, he grew up in northern Virginia and quickly demonstrated an aptitude for the political rough-and-tumble of his adoptive land. Now he is 36 years old, a Virginia state senator, and a rising star in that state’s now-dominant Democrat Party establishment. In another sense, however, Saddam Azlan Salim clearly retains at least some of the sensibilities of the land of his birth, and he wants to bring them to his new land: He has just introduced a bill to criminalize “Islamophobia” in Virginia.
In Bangladesh, criticizing Islam can get you a swift death sentence. Saddam Salim’s Virginia version of Islam’s blasphemy law is much milder. Fox News reported Tuesday that the ambitious young solon’s bill “would define ‘Islamophobia’ ‘as it relates to the crime of assault and battery as malicious prejudice or hatred directed toward Islam or Muslims.’”
This bill is a classic example of the proverbial camel getting his nose under the tent. At first glance, it appears to be crystalline common sense, and something that no one could possibly oppose. After all, no sane person is in favor of assault and battery of any innocent person. To come out against Saddam Azlan Salim’s bill would appear to be tantamount to saying that assault and battery is just fine. Salim is no doubt banking on his colleagues coming to exactly that conclusion and believing that they have no choice but to pass his bill.

So on one side we have Islamists wanting to criminalize ‘Islamophobia’ and at the same time the Jews want to criminalize ‘Antisemitism’.
I’d be all for sending both these bronze-age desert religions and their members back to the sands of the Middle East to squabble about it and leave us the hell alone.
Understand... to crimialize “Islamaphobia” is NOT so much pro Islam, as anti-Christian. Modern (misnamed) “progressives” demand “no other gods before them” and have absolute hatred for the Judeo-Christian foundations of the USA... that put the citizen as sovereign and the state subservient. Their goal is a corporate administrative state, feudal in form and a totally anti-republic, totalitarian police state, opposite of our founding. Social credit scores for all the “serfs.” Which #RustyIrony is very compatable with Islamic Sharia law, where ALL human activity is to be controlled by hyper-bureaucrat, hyper-nanny “holy” men.
This law is total BS. There are already laws at both the state and federal level that make it illegal to treat ANY person the way this bill defines the crime. So why is he pressing passage of the bill? It’s an attempt to gain special dispensation for Muslims and a way to chisel a small nick in local, state, and federal law and implement one of the tenants of Sharia law into US penal code.
A Constitutional amendment to criminalize Sharia will eliminate this kind of stuff, Republicans need to campaign on it this year

And that’s the major problem with his bill. In Bangladesh, they can criticize democracy. So in the US, we can’t criticize islam? We have the freedom to do so that they don’t have...a first amendment. So we don’t kill people for criticizing democracy, or islam. His bill will never make it past the SCOTUS if passed.

Not to worry. We don’t have a “phobia” about that loathsome ‘religion’. We simply hate their third-world traditions, their mistreatment of women, and their hate of dogs. As for Virginia, no one gives a shi...er...gives a corrupt Dorkbama about that sorry-assed ‘state’.
The GOPe does not have the guts to go after the muslim terrorists in the US. That is why they are working so hard to defeat Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate primary.

The POS who was a big man in the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Sayid Qutb (yea, I can’t pronounce it either), went to the University of Northern Colorado for a couple years in the ‘50s and was upset that the women laughed at him.
So he went home and became virulently anti-Western, basically because he wasn’t assigned a blonde. Wrote a lot and started a lot of trouble which we are all still fighting today.
Kinda popped his self image. But the IslamoNazi who now claims to be “American” in Virginia is a spiritual descendant of this guy.
Any group that requires your death if you leave the group is a cult and thereby has no legal claim to religious protection under our Constitution.
I don’t care how long this camel-jockey has lived in the USA. It should be strongly suggested that he move back to Krapistan where his positions are accepted.
