Homan announces drawdown of federal presence in Minnesota, hails 'unprecedented cooperation' from local police

White House border czar Tom Homan announced a drawdown of federal agents deployed to Minnesota on Wednesday, a change he said is made possible thanks to "unprecedented cooperation" from local law enforcement.

Homan made the announcement during a Wednesday morning press conference in Minneapolis, saying 700 federal agents would be departing the Twin Cities. He added that the ultimate goal is a "complete drawdown" of federal presence.

Homan highlighted meetings he had with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, urging them all to allow local jails to communicate with federal law enforcement about when they planned to release illegal immigrants being detained there.

Is the job done? To quote Charles Bronson “you have to get them all or else what’s the point?”

So I guess it’s one of these:

A. There are no more illegals there to arrest.
B. The local police will now be doing the arresting.
C. The bad guys won this round.

There are still 2,000 agents here. Homan got agreements with many Sheriffs and cops to hand over the illegals at the jail instead of having to chase them down.

I saw on Newsmax last night, AFAIK not reported elsewhere, that the anti-ICE crazies had setup roadblocks and checkpoints in Minneapolis (they had been filmed) and drivers had to prove they were not ICE to proceed into the neighborhood. That has to be illegal on many levels and I’m wondering why the local PD does not roll up and disperse them. I place all the blame on the local PD for allowing these roadblocks to persist.

I would never announce stuff like this. No benefits to telegraphing your every move. Our enemies don’t deserve to know when, where and quantity of our forces.

If I were a normal citizen living in Minneapolis, I would be furious at the agitators keeping me from going to work or going home or eating out or living life in a normal fashion. And I would be furious with the local police and authorities for letting these insurgents do this.

But if I were a normal citizen living in Minneapolis, I wouldn’t be there long. I would be moving out as soon as possible.

When a job is bungled as badly as this was, it makes sense to withdraw and regroup. If they go back it should be with better leadership, a more disciplined approach, and assured cooperation of local authorities.

Otherwise, let the Cities burn.

I can imagine most suburban and rural Minnesota police departments following such an agreement. But in the big, Democrat-run cities? It’s doubtful, I think.

I’m sure hoping these sheriffs, who I assume, are elected (Dem) officials, aren’t going to go out of their way to do this.

Sound like the surrender flag has been raised. I like Homan, and I hope he (and Trump) aren’t caving to political pressure. I hope they are just looking at smarter ways to do this.

This is coming from the White House. The Guard has been stood down, too. Complete surrender to the organized insurrection in Minneapolis by the Trump admin.

The cities aren’t going to burn. The insurrectionists are using Marxist insurgency passive aggressive tactics to engage.

This is a brilliant strategy. The anti ICE crowd is given a Pyrrhic victory, but now has no reason to continue protesting. The DOJ can now concentrate on the massive fraud in Minnesota which has been on the back burner due to the riots. The leftists were counting on escalating confrontations to provoke Trump invoking the Sedition Act which would be portrayed as proof of him being a dictator, but now are left with nothing. Tampon Tim Walz’s political career is over and he may well be prosecuted for his part in the fraud. The Minnesota Democrats are in disarray are preparing to anoint Amy Klobuchar as their candidate for Governor and Peggy Flanagan for Senator without any primaries. Things might be looking up in Minnesota.

I take it you didn’t watch the presser. Homan isn’t leaving.
It takes one or two agents to go pick up an illegal alien criminal at a jail. It takes a dozen or more to try to arrest him at a house, if they can find him.

Trump caved!

Not really. Insurrectionist Democrats have succeeded in creating no-go zones in the big cities they control. That never ends well.

smarter ways to do this.” EXACTLY!

Something HAD TO BE DONE to change the dynamic on the ground.

Bad optics (2 people shot dead (committing suicide)) gave the left ammunition they didn’t deserve to get.

Trump, ever the deal maker, stepped in and shook things up and got results. Kristi Noem is in no trouble here. She was doing exactly what Trump told her to do.

If Holman (Trump) is getting cooperation now its because of threats (deals) he made with Minnesota gubmit off-itials.

Turning a loser back into a WINNER.

Tired of “winning” yet?

It was difficult listening to Homan REPEATEDLY thanking, of all things, the likes of Walz, Ellison and Frey, who’ve been instigators and obstructionists from the get-go.

It reminded me of Kevin Bacon saying “Thank you, sir, may I have another?”

You’re never going to get them all. There are just too many. I’m happy with a good deep dent (for starters).

The local “activists” (nutjobs) are going to be pisssssed at Walz and Frey. Tampon Timmy unleashed the beast, and now the beast will come after him.
