LARGE crowds of male migrants queued up to get paperwork in Spain after the country’s socialist PM offered to legalise the status of some half a million foreign nationals.
Tech mogul Elon Musk then got into a row with left wing PM Pedro Sánchez on X over the policy, as the CEO re-shared a post which called the policy “electoral engineering”.
The plan will give legal status to all foreign nationals who can prove they do not have a criminal record and had lived in Spain for at least five months before the start of 2026.
Once approved, migrants will be allowed to work legally and given a one-year residency permit, which could be extended.
Musk’s fracas with the PM started when the X-owner reposted a tweet that claimed PM Sanchez was “dropping the mask” with blatant “electoral engineering” “under the guise of defeating the far-right”.
The post read: “The logic is simple: legalise half a million people, fast-track them to citizenship (which takes as little as two years for many), and you’ve effectively imported a massive, loyal voting bloc that’s indebted to the left.”
Musk shared the X post and added “wow”, enraging Sanchez, who hit back.
The Spanish PM replied: “Mars can wait. Humanity can’t.”
It’s a jab at Musk’s Starship project, which is trying to create the most powerful rocket in the world as part of SpaceX‘s bid to take humanity to Mars.
Socialist Sánchez argues that his plan is needed to combat workforce shortages, and boost his country’s ailing economy.

Musk is all over the goddamn place. It seems as if he is trying to prove he is something that he is not. He can talk all he wants on X or whatever, but where is his money actually coming from and going. I do know that his stupid satellites will eventually set off the “Kessler Event” that will trap humanity on the earth forever.
I wonder if Musk could mine the asteroid belt.
