California has borne the brunt of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, leading the nation with a sharp decline in international migration, according to new U.S. Census Bureau data. The numbers, released Tuesday, reveal a significant drop in international migration across the country. Overall, the nation increased by only 1.8 million which is the lowest growth rate since 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest figures estimate the country’s population at 342 million.

We should have capped even legal immigration when we reached about 200 million. It was really nice here back then.
>> We should have capped even legal immigration when we reached about 200 million.
Yep. Those were indeed the good old days.
re: when we reached about 200 million
~~~~~~~
That was in November of 1967
“We should have capped even legal immigration when we reached about 200 million. It was really nice here back then.”
So we could have an economy about maybe the size of Japan?
The Democrats and Progressives aren’t happy. On January 30, activists will be encouraging everyone nationwide to stop working and spending money to protest ICE. You can see if there will be one near you:
I live in a rural area in Northern Commiefornia surrounded by orchards and rice fields and various crops. There are a few homes in our neighborhood where there are always 10 or 12 cars parked on the lawn (not that there’s any grass on the lawns) and Mexican flags flying. Lately, those homes only have 1 or 2 cars parked in the driveway and no more Mexican flags. I wonder why. 🤔
No, so that any growth of the nation would actually come from citizens of the nation.
Most people had at least 3 kids back then. ‘Member?
But then the Overpopulation hoax went into high gear leading to Abortion on Demand along with Kill Yourself for Gaia and that’s how we ended up not being “we” anymore.
Key Trends and Factors
Declining Children: The number of children per family decreased from 2.33 in 1960 to 2.4 in 2014.
That does not seem like a radical drop, as the average is still something greater than 3.
My parents had 8 kids, but we were always the exception to everyone else we knew.
“Borne the brunt”? More like “enjoyed the drop”.
That’s right, don’t make a real argument, just try throwing some slander. That’s you. Assuming everyone with a different view comes to that view from the same place merely dismisses any independent thinking.
2.33 to 2.4 is not a decline, at least in my world.
I was just quoting Michael Savage, a quote that is at least a quarter century old.
So like any other day for a Democrat or “progressive”. Although I guess they do spend money, other people’s money.
That was 1967 when USA was a manufacturing powerhouse and there was no internet to connect with world wide web. There was no High-tech profit giants such as Microsoft, Apple, Google who all thrive on skilled immigrants. Without immigration and declining birth rates in United States, our economy would be the size of Australia.
But nice wishful thinking.
No wonder the commies are panicking..when illegals get deported, Dems lose congressional seats, without illegals the Dems would cease to exist as a political party
LOL yeah like those commies have money, they are just using their EBT cards, oh noes one day they wont use it here’s an idea, return the money its all based on fraud anyway
I have several doctors and two surgeons who have immigrated from the second and third worlds. I’m very, very happy with them. I don’t think they took the job an American didn’t want to do. I think there simply aren’t enough Americans to do those jobs. And probably the good ones have taken up something like cosmetic surgery as opposed to kidneys and lesser paying but still lucrative jobs.
