Trump warns Iran 'time is running out' for nuclear deal as US military builds up in Gulf

Donald Trump has warned Iran that "time is running out" to negotiate a deal on its nuclear programme following the steady build-up of US military forces in the Gulf.

The US president said a "massive Armada" was "moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose" towards Iran, referring to a large US naval force.

In response, Iran's mission to the UN said Tehran "stands ready for dialogue based on mutual respect and interests", but if pushed, it wrote in all capitals, it would defend itself and "respond like never before".

Iran insists its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful and has repeatedly denied accusations by the US and its allies that it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons.

Trump's latest warning follows his promise that Washington would intervene to help those involved in the brutal and unprecedented crackdown on demonstrations in the country earlier this month.

"Help is on the way," he told protesters, before later changing his tune - saying he had been told on good authority that the execution of demonstrators had stopped.

The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) says it has confirmed the killing of more than 6,301 people, including 5,925 protesters, since the unrest began at the end of December.

HRANA says it is also investigating another 17,000 reported deaths received despite an internet shutdown after nearly three weeks.

Another group, the Norway-based Iran Human Rights (IHR), has warned that the final toll could exceed 25,000.

Trump would rather make peace than war, but the Ayatollahs want to keep their dictatorial powers.

When Iran was bombed, it was 99% done by Netanyahu. All Trump did was to use B2 stealth bombers to take out a bunch of Iranian nuclear facilities.

They’re putting things in place to attack them. Like a chess board

I think they’re going to get pummelled

Whether it’ll change the regime or not I dont know nor do I think it’s wise... What are the markets saying?

Interesting that he’s talking about the nuclear program when I thought the original premise for this was to react to mass killing of the protesters.

He is using the nuclear stuff as a basis to bomb Iran?

So, if Iran comes and says, “OK we will give up the nuclear program” we will just allow them to continue to kill their protesters?

I guess he has to use some basis for attacking them. He doesn’t need to convince me. I know plenty of people who were attacked by Iranian weapons over the past 40 years or so. That would have been good enough for me.

But when we hit them, we need to end this. Simply Bitch slapping them won’t work.

A brief report card of the rulers of Iran:
- Took US diplomats hostage
- Suicide bombed US Marine barracks in Beirut, USS Cole, and Khobar towers
- Killed scores of US servicemen in Iraq
- Funded Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and Hashd-Al Shaabi (to name a few)
- Bombed the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires
- Sent assassins all over the world, tasked with killing Jews, dissidents, and Americans
- Funded “cultural centers”, professional protesters, lobbyists, media, politicians and “academics” all over the Western World

Too many presidents kicked the can down the road, or even funded them (”ahem - Obama”) making the rulers of Iran stronger.

This will be painful. But it needs to be done. They are weaker now than they have ever been. Rip off the band aid, 47. It will hurt a little, but the world will be a far better place.

Once done, a nation of 85 million with the world’s largest hydrocarbon reserves and a defense and infrastructure that has been neglected for 50 years will need rebuilding. AMERICAN companies get to go to the front of the line.

Buy stock in Boeing, GE, US Steel, Chevron, Exxon, Caterpillar, John Deere, Halliburton, Northrop, Lockheed, and Raytheon. Also buy stock in mid-cap industrial B-to-B companies that supply them.

In 5 years, Iran’s GDP will double, simply because the parasitic IRGC and corrupt rulers will be removed, and funding to terrorist groups will be reinvested in the nation. In 10 years, her GDP will approach that of South Korea. And a large part of that wealth will be directed back to US companies.

Iran has and has had for many years nuclear power plants.

These use U235, which is a source of PU239 when depleted. Found in spent fuel rods and very difficult to extract.

Had nothing to do with centrifuges.

The UAE has one and Jordan, Egypt and Turkey will soon. This issue of spent fuel rods is global. Anyone stealing them could make Plutonium, but it’s very difficult.

This would mean all nuclear power plants in the world would have to shut down if this is to be avoided. There is never talk of Iran’s power plant (and Russia is building them additional reactors, at the same site).

As for an attack on Iran, I doubt they can find senior military to be bribed into ordering shoulder mounted IR missile troops choose to not shoot at helicopters.

Here is what happened when 47 said “Iranian Patriots, take to the streets, occupy government buildings, help is on the way”:

Millions of Iranians poured into the streets, attacking government buildings and banks. Yes, they burned buildings - mosques included. Yes, where they got hold of an IRGC member, they handed out street justice.

The rulers of Iran responded. They opened fire with AK47s and 0.50 cal Dushkas. They killed over 35,000 people.

Then they attacked hospitals and ambulances and executed the wounded. They held bodies and demanded ransom from grieving loved one. They arrested doctors who rendered aid. They imprisoned tens of thousands of protesters. They are busy torturing, raping, and executing them.

It took 2 weeks to wash the blood out of the streets.

You want to trust these people with a “peaceful” nuclear program?

If 47 does not cause regime change, he will go down in history as worse than Carter. In ‘79, millions of Iranians protested against the Shah, so Carter’s options were limited. In ‘26, millions protested against the Ayatollah. Trump’s options are unlimited.

Come on 47. Do what’s right. I want to see the star spangled banner raised at the US embassy in Tehran and US companies doing business with Iran. I want to see Hezbollah and Hamas starved of funding.

Like Dirty Harry to the punk, Trump is already speaking volumes to the Iranian Theocracy. There’s also no doubt that the latter is understanding what Trump is saying. The only question is whether they’re feeling lucky.
