The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) ordered all public housing authorities and owners receiving department-funded housing Friday to verify tenant citizenship and eligibility after an audit conducted with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) flagged tens of thousands of deceased and ineligible tenants nationwide.
HUD said the audit identified nearly 200,000 tenants requiring eligibility verification, including nearly 25,000 deceased tenants and nearly 6,000 ineligible non-American tenants across federally funded housing programs.
Under the directive, HUD said all public housing authorities and participating owners have 30 days to take corrective action or face potential sanctions.

The taxpayers are tired. Tired of working every single day to try and pay their own bills....so they can pay for everyone else’s housing, insurance, food, childcare, etc. 70% of the federal budget is taken from the taxpayers to pay for someone else. It’s gotten ridiculous. And the politicians just keep voting for more. They just ok’d $5 billion for refugee welfare.

All of this fraud for all of these years. The billions of dollars stolen, makes you so angry but its past. I want to see people jailed for this. I want to see politicians arrested, judges disbarred and arrested if they knew and allowed this. I want their bank accounts and portfolios seized, their numerous houses, jewelry, cars etc seized. All of the monies put down on the national debt. A quarterly accounting report should be required by any and all people/groups/organizations receiving federal tax dollars with tangible evidence of legitimate qualifications.
Itd be a PITA but so what. You want my tax dollars to pay for your not working...... I need proof you are truly in need.

200,000? I guarantee you there are vastly more illegal aliens receiving public housing. It should be expressly illegal for any illegal alien to receive public assistance of any kind anywhere in the US. No education. No housing. No food. Healthcare for emergencies only and then to be taken straight from the hospital bed to a deportation flight out.

The problem is that a district judge will rule that HUD can’t stop the payments. That is what is happening in just about every fraud scheme the Trump admin has tried to stop.
