A federal magistrate judge rejected the Justice Department’s attempt to bring charges against journalist Don Lemon for appearing alongside protesters who breached a Minnesota church over the weekend, a source told CNN.
“The Attorney General is enraged at the magistrate judge’s decision,” a person familiar with the matter said. Attorney General Pam Bondi has been on the ground in Minnesota for two days meeting with federal prosecutors from the state.
Lemon, who is a former CNN host who now makes content independently, was with dozens of anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement protesters as they rushed into Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday morning, interrupting a church service and leading to tense confrontations, CNN has reported.
Lemon has said that he was present at the demonstration as a journalist and not as a protester. In a video of the episode that he posted on YouTube, Lemon says “I’m just here photographing, I’m not part of the group… I’m a journalist.”

And there you go.
Lemon is the mascot of anti-white hate.
We have the man.
Now we just need to find the crime.
Lol.
Another out of control knuckledragging “Federal Judgette” wannabe.
The “judgette” sounds like they/them/it might be gay.
Bondi and Trump have already signaled their willingness to fold in the James case and others, so this will be the left's preferred way to thwart Trump.
Trump needs to invoke the Insurrection Act so Lemon, the others, and the judge can be turned over to military tribunals, because no justice will come from a judiciary, which, like almost all other US institutions, has been captured by the left.
Correct—it is insurrection.
Denial is not a river in Egypt.
I just read Lemon saying that the protest of that church was like Jesus cleaning out the Temple.
That is basically a delusion of grandeur. That group and Lemon are no better than schizophrenic Nick Reiner as far as I’m concerned.
Dangerous. Delusional.
Did Lemon interfere with the right of the people there to worship? If so, it doesn’t matter whether he was a “journalist” or whether he was one of the protesters.
How does a judge just keep the DOJ from being able to file charges? We saw case after case where Trump was prosecuted for things that weren’t even a crime. How does this one judge simply throw out a case? On what grounds?
The anti-white hate is starting to get real.
Most folks here still don’t believe it.
The left hates you because you are white—whether you think you are white or not—whether you want to live in peace or not—whether you believe in principles or not.
They don’t care.
The are going to call you names, then steal your stuff and then kill you to remove you from Turtle Island.
The LGBTQFT+ looking out for each other. Somebody had to save the Lemon’s keister. It took a Feral “judgette”.
I actually wonder if some of what is happening right now is to fully and legally document that the judiciary really has been captured by belligerents, which would justify the military taking over the functions of the judiciary until Constitutional governance can be restored.
She’ll be out by noon.
time to empanel a Federal Grand Jury...
“Trump needs to invoke the Insurrection Act so Lemon, the others, and the judge can be turned over to military tribunals”
Nice fantasy, but the Insurrection Act doesn’t allow for military tribunals, or say anything about courts. It is simply deploying troops to enforce laws.
Vigilantism is always warranted when the government refuses to uphold just laws.
He - Don Lemon - did not just magically appear alongside “protesters”. No one but the “protesters” knew they were going to that church that day, no one that is except also Don Lemon, which suggests he was not participating” as a “journalist” but, with advance knowledge of what was going to take place, and with his manner of “questioning” people in the church DURING the “protest, it is clear that Lemon was in fact there as a fellow participant activist, not a “journalist”.
Standing outside and across the street from the Church the activists, and Lemon, were free to say whatever they wanted. But on entering the private property of the Church, uninvited, and there to disrupt the services of the church, not respectfully join them, the activists and Lemon lost all “first amendment” rights for their activities, as what they were doing was attempting to deny and disrupt the first amendment rights of the people in the church.
So they arrested the leader of this peaceful protest. Now they will have access to her phone. computer etc. They can use her messages and emails to connect the dots with Lemon and the rest of the peaceful activists. It will take time. This is in Minneapolistan so standard rules don’t apply. They protect criminals here.
I asked Grok the name of the magistrate judge but apparently the name isn’t made public yet.
