The conference centre hosting the World Economic Forum in Davos has been evacuated, with authorities yet to give any indication of the cause.
Reports from the event said emergency services had rushed to the scene and that an unusual smell was in the air and was “making some people in our area cough”.
"They evacuated us all. We left all our things inside because there seems to be a fire in a hotel nearby," said Lilli Gruber, a reporter in Davos.
"There are helicopters flying overhead, it's full of firefighters."

He gave NATO a huge dose of steroids stating that a new framework partnership would be signed with NATO - greatly strengthening it in the northern hemisphere of the planet - and valid for ever.
Gone is the idea of attacking GreenLand.
Gone is the idea of putting tariffs on France and 7 other EU nations.
I explained this before many times here on FR. Trump is just doing negotiations.
And it ends up making NATO the big winner of the whole thing!

No, Davos is in the Graubunden in southeastern Switzerland not far from the Austrian border. It has a cute little lake, though.
Lake Geneva is in the extreme southwestern “knob” of Switzerland, surrounded by France.
(I once lived in Switzerland for a couple of years.)
