When did the “law-abiding undocumented workers” become law-abiding as crossing the border illegally is, by its very definition, not law-abiding?
A summarization by Grok:
“During a January 20, 2026 White House briefing, Trump explained that deportation efforts target criminals like those with assault, sexual assault, and homicide records, with ICE removing nearly 200,000 immigrants since he took office, including over 7,000 gang members.
He noted officials urging restraint on non-criminal cases to support industries reliant on their labor. The comments drew backlash from his conservative base, who see no distinction for undocumented workers since illegal entry breaks the law, fueling debate over campaign promises versus practical governance.”
I have no problem with prioritizing the violent criminals.
There are plenty enough of them.
Final comment here:
Even though 50-60% of farm workers are U.S. citizens, naturalized citizens, or authorized immigrants (including green card holders), lumping them.in with hotel and restaurant workers seems to be a tactic to shield restaurant amd hotel workers from deportation because the retort will be “Who will work the farm jobs if they’re deported?”
Amd how many illegals work in factories all over the U.S.?
Anyone’s guess...
“200,000 immigrants?”
“...undocumented workers?”
How ‘bout calling them illegal alien invaders, Grok?
Sad to say I’ll have to post one more time as we have some Jeb Bush Bots in the keyword section supporting illegal immigratoon.
I’ve supported Trump all the way on deportations amd many other issues but this US about as close to a 180 as you can get.
Between 1990 and 2000 illegal aliens cut my carpenter’s wages by one third.
they all must go
that is what the law says
there is no exception for someone who lived here a long time illegally or has no criminal record beyond entering illegally
if you dont like the law work to change it
In 2006, when this illegal alien/border issue really flared up, statistics showed that only 6% of all illegal aliens worked in agriculture.
True.
Definitely target the violent criminals as a priority.
Show their faces and detail their crimes so the brain dead low information knuckleheads are given an opportunity to wake up.
Also, encourage those (non criminal other than being illegally in the USA) to self deport.
Put the hammer down on employers who employ illegal aliens. Large businesses as a priority, then work down incrementally.
Crushing penalties. Devastating penalties.
Audit and revoke taxpayer funded assistance to all illegals.
Punish the state and local governments who failed in their fiduciary responsibility to manage those funds.
Audit and punish the NGOs who have raked in hundreds of billions of taxpayer $$$ while encouraging and facilitating illegal immigration.
Claw back every damn cent.
Revoke government pensions for those culpable.
RICO must be applied to every organization, where applicable.
I could go on, but no one wants to hear about public executions,
We need to clean house, Bigly.
They all need to be deported
Whak a mole won't work.
I would say that Trump is showing his true colors and betraying his base, but his Comey-like Hillary flip-flop makes this pale in comparison.
This is all about numbers.
Deport them all.
We need to deport as many illegal aliens as possible prior to the 2030 census.
TACO
Except when he doesn’t.
This is not what I voted for.
Prioritize criminals first. Then deport illegals using welfare next. The rest who are hard working can stay but can never vote and are subject to deportation if they commit crimes. Their children born here cannot become US citizens unless they serve at least 4 years in the military with an honorable discharge.
