As the magnitude and complexity of Minnesota’s Somali immigrant welfare fraud scandal come into clearer focus, Republicans in Congress are more boldly talking about it being part of a larger scheme by Democrats to use illegal immigrants and purported refugees to hijack federal elections and manipulate apportionment that determines Americans’ congressional representation and federal funding.
The Republicans' argument goes like this: Democrats reversed Donald Trump’s related first-term executive orders and ensured that noncitizens, including illegal immigrants, were counted into 2020 U.S. Census. Then-President Biden opened the southern border so that millions of illegals could flood the country in just a few years.
Next, liberal nonprofits helped move those migrants from the southern border red states, where they were not particularly welcome, to "sanctuary cities" in Democratic-run cities in the election battleground states and helped them enroll in welfare at the taxpayers' expense.
And finally, Democratic leaders, like failed vice-presidential candidate Minnesota Gov. Tom Walz, they say, failed to act — or even worse, looked the other way — when evidence emerged that non-citizens were defrauding those safety net programs by the tune of billions of dollars. And liberal judges blocked efforts to stop or punish the fraud.

The author omitted the money laundering aspect, in which Federal dollars feeding welfare fraud are returned as campaign contributions.

I will say this. The GOP should also be looking at RED STATE election schemes.
The players behind the scenes in these fraud scandals are not limited to BLUE STATES.
When the FEDS are handing out FREE money via Medicaid, there will be fraudsters willing and able to take the money and run.

It’s hardly a case of Democrats “looking the other way” while immigrants engaged in fraud. The immigrants needed coaching in how to break the law, how to rake in the millions. The Democrats actively provided this training. And, in return, a large percentage of the money from the fraud was funneled to Democrat political campaigns. Money Laundering. Pure and simple.

My sentiments exactly.
Rightly or wrongly, noncitizens have always been counted in the census. Originally slaves counted as 3/5ths of free people, the only ones not counted were untaxed Indians.
That said, flooding states with noncitizens will reward states with lots of them with more Representatives.
The investigators need to tie the immigration-fraud-politics to the ActBlue smurfing operation. Where did the big money come from that they reported (laundered) as thousand of small donations the reported “donors” didn’t actually make? Busting this should be the highest priority
They will launch more committees that will look into possible investigations.
Five years later a report will be issued that recommends further probes into the fraud.
There’s a list of people who need to be brought to justice on this. I think American citizens want to see some action on this & not just talk, which has gone on about long enough.
You are 100% correct. The rats got a huge cut and as a result the taxpayers paid for Democrat campaigns all over the country
