IRBIL, Iraq (AP) — An Iranian Kurdish separatist group in Iraq said it has launched attacks on Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard in recent days in retaliation for Tehran’s violent crackdown on protests. Members of the National Army of Kurdistan, the armed wing of the Kurdistan Freedom Party, or PAK, have “played a role in the protests through both financial support and armed operations to defend protesters when needed,” Jwansher Rafati, a PAK representative, told The Associated Press on Thursday. What I like is the midnight markings. Someone goes to a house of a high-ranking IRGC officer and paints red Xs on doorway — weirdly like what Jews put on their doorways to ward off the Egyptian curses.
Anyhoo, some time in the next few nights a hit squad hangs around waiting for the officer to show up. Two generals have been offed so far. Not families, just the thugs who ordered open fire on protesters and summary executions.

In desert storm the Kurdish part of Iraq was “safe”. When the US arrived with weapons at the ready, the leader told them “You don’t need those here, this is a safe place”.
And he was right. So, of course, Saddam’s cousin Chemical Ali had to gas them, lest they whack the republican guard and take over. (At least that was his belief).
I believe that they’re capable fighters, this could be GREAT news.
