Imagine a stolen rifle ending up in the middle of the protest because the Minneapolis Police Department was forced to stand down.

Not just a rifle, probably one with full auto capability, making it an “assault rifle,” something that’s legal generally only for military and LEO possession. The “people” who stole it are looking at potentially hard time.

A weapon like that in the hands of these insane people is scary.

An “Arm Rebellion”? What is that?

The county sheriffs need to arrest Walz. He is creating an insurrection, again. Last time, Minneapolis burned, innocent people died and lost their homes. Walz restricted access to medicine during COVID and kept kids masked and out of school. My dad died and my son quit school. I despise Walz.

“Not just a rifle, probably one with full auto capability”

I doubt it was a select fire.

as stated on another thread...

Frankly, I think Minnesota is more important than Iran right now, and this statement may prove itself true in short order.

Tell Lindsey Graham to take a number, else send him to Minneapolis.

just my $0.02.

Don’t know for sure, hence, “probably.”

When it becomes a leg rebellion things will get really bad.

“I doubt it was a select fire.”

I doubt it wasn’t. Our government servants take pride in possessing that which we mere mortals are largely proscribed from having, absent huge expense and a long process of “mother may I?”

And then leaving them unattended in a vehicle, for convenience’s sake.

It's little known now, but 1775-1783 was an arm rebellion.

I guess it depends.

AI Overview
Yes, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents can use fully automatic weapons, as their National Firearms and Tactical Training Unit (NFTTU) ensures they have access to advanced firearms, and agents not tied to specific roles often favor semi-automatic or full-auto options, though standard issue is typically more general purpose, with specialized units having heavy firepower.
Key Points:

NFTTU Role: ICE’s NFTTU tests and approves firearms, body armor, and ammunition, ensuring agents have top-tier equipment.

Agent Choice: Agents not assigned specific weapons for their role can choose semi-automatic or fully automatic firearms, according to an OJP report on SWAT teams that discusses common practices in law enforcement.

Specialized Units: While general ICE officers might carry standard sidearms, specialized teams within ICE (like those in Homeland Security Investigations) often utilize heavier, more powerful weapons, including automatic rifles, similar to other tactical units.

Training: ICE agents undergo rigorous firearms training, including proficiency with various weapons, to meet agency standards.

When your FBI is that stupid to leave the car full of armaments untended, might as well hire private security.

They’ll blow through the ammo in sort order, and not hit anything.
