An OB-GYN who uses “she/her” pronouns repeatedly sidestepped a question about whether men can get pregnant during a congressional hearing on abortion pills.
Dr. Nisha Verma, a Democratic witness and senior advisor to Physicians for Reproductive Health, acknowledged that she takes care of many pregnant women, but was coy about whether men can pull off that feat as well. ***
“I hesitated there because I wasn’t sure where the conversation was going or what the goal was. I mean, I do take care of patients with different identities. I take care of many women,” she told Hawley, skirting around the question.
Hawley replied: “The goal is to establish a biological reality. You just said a moment ago that science and evidence should control, not politics. So let’s just text that proposition.”
“I do treat people that don’t identify as women,” Verma said after a back-and-forth. “I think yes-no questions like this are a political tool.”
She then accused Hawley of trying to oversimplify a complex topic and being “polarized” in his questioning. ***
For the record, it’s women who get pregnant, not men,” the Missouri Republican eventually vented, answering his question. “I don’t know how we can take you seriously and your claims to be a person of science if you won’t level on this basic issue.”
“I thought we were past all of this.” ***
Hawley asks over a DOZEN times if men can get pregnant and she CAN’T ANSWER.
She blanks, then gives word salads and excuses for why she won’t answer.

Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) pressed Verma on the risks of men obtaining abortion pills to harm women. “Can men get pregnant?” Moody asked.
Verma responded, “I treat people with many identities.”

Unsatisfied, Hawley (R-MO) took over, repeatedly seeking clarity. “Can men get pregnant?” Hawley demanded.
“I’m not sure what the goal of the question is,” Verma replied.
Hawley clarified: “The goal is to establish a biological reality. Can men get pregnant?”
Verma doubled down: “I take care of people with many identities.”
Hawley persisted: “Can men get pregnant?”
“Again, as I’m saying-” Verma began, before Hawley interjected: “You said science and evidence should control. Can men get pregnant? You’re a doctor, I think.”
“Science and evidence should guide medicine,” Verma said.
Hawley pushed: “Do science and evidence tell us that men can get pregnant?”
“I think yes-no questions like this are a political tool,” Verma answered, calling Hawley’s line of questioning “polarizing.”
Hawley fired back: “It is not polarizing to say that women are a biological reality and should be treated and protected as such; that is truth.”
He later added that it “is deeply corrosive to science, to public trust and yes, to constitutional protections for women as women” not to acknowledge that only biological females can get pregnant.
Give her a break she is doctor not a biologist. /s

These doctors are libs, and probably believe that men can get pregnant, but they also completely understand that they MUST toe the line here. They can’t admit that men can’t get pregnant, or they’ll be cancelled and/or killed by the loony Left. The Democrat party has become the party of “men can get pregnant”, men in women’s sports, violence, and open borders. I’m hoping the American electorate is taking notice.
It’s amazing how they obfuscate, what is a straightforward issue.
But we have to remember, we live in a world where even the brilliant mind of a Supreme Court justice cannot define what a woman is.
So we have to remember that the way these people think, issues of sex and gender are not straightforward, because we are supposed to be accepting that there are men who claim to be women.And vice versa.
Forget the who can have a baby question... There are only two sexes... Period! Ask her how many sexes there are???
If says anything other than two sexes (male and female) then she has abandoned science and has entered a realm of unbelievable, unsupportable, politically correct and unscientific nonsense.

I have MANY pet peeves and one is hearing someone say - usually the man - “we’re pregnant”..Anyone making that remark fits right in with the female doctor..

Nisha Verma should be immediately stripped of her medical license. In addition, her kindergarten diploma should be ripped up and tossed into the middle of the Gulf of America along with Nisha Verma.
At times like this, I think that this trans nonsense is part of a greater operation by China with the complicity of Soros, Boasberg, Judge Paul Engelmayer, Pritzker, Weingart, Frey, and people of their ilk, to destroy America. The open borders, debanking, suppression of free speech, the George Floyd protests, the no kings protests, the anti-ICE protests, the belief that attaining proficiency in mathematics, science, and English, etc., is racist, men in women’s sports (I could go on) are an asymmetric warfare operation brought to you by China and the aforementioned complicitous group.
I understand that people can become wedded to an ideology, even in the face of contrary evidence. But this is ridiculous. How can an educated adult sit there and make an abject fool of herself in public testimony? What could be going through her mind that enables her to do this?
How does a person that doesn’t know the difference between a male and a female even have a license to practice medicine??

She knows, as does everyone else, that men cannot get pregnant. They are trying to force everyone else to say that fake men are women ... if they can succeed in this, they win.
Maybe the state medical licensing boards themselves are the problem. Maybe legitimate doctors are afraid of losing their license if they sway from the Dim party line. I looked Nisha Verma up and she has medical licenses in Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts. Any one of those could ditch her medical license for that state if she had the audacity to say that she believed in science.
