SO, they’re willing to place a toe into the waters of war on Iran, but not an ankle.
The point about taking over Iraq was to have a base in the Middle East where we wouldn’t offend Bin Laden’s cousins by having our unclean airplanes flying out of their Sacred Dirt.

I’m sure the government of Iraq won’t mind if the U.S. bombed Iran using it’s airspace, not that it could do anything about it anyhow.
Of course it’s always possible that a secret deal has already been struck. The Saudi’s will pretend to set limits, and Trump will pretend to obey.
Hmmm. Hard to understand why given their ties to Trump, unless they are afraid of Iranian missiles flying at SA or irked because the US is supporting the removal of another ME despotism.
There will be no strike on Iran, under the principle of “never interfere when your enemy is in the process of destroying himself.”
Its Trump just setting a media narrative.
That narrative is causing a lot of Iranians to rise up and so far 1000s to die because they think the cavalry’s coming. I don’t think it is.
The major difference between Shia and Sunni is a disagreement over the heir to Mohammed. When it comes to us Dhimmis, they are united.
I think Trump spoke too soon, he was sold a bill of goods from the folks who want a Shah back, not realizing that most who oppose the current regime, also do not want another Shah.
Typical.... could just be public posturing while the Saudi allow us to do whatever we need to. There is no love lost between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
