A solid majority of Americans support military intervention in Venezuela — including an eye-popping 66% of Hispanics — when informed that it’s a hub of narcoterrorism with ties to Iran and Hezbollah, a new poll claimed.

The Morning Consult survey conducted for the pro-US energy Council for Secure America asked 2,202 Americans on Jan. 10-11: “As you may know, Venezuela is a known hub for Iranian and Hezbollah terror, including military drone production and narcoterrorism. Does this make you more or less likely to support American intervention in Venezuela?”

Sixty percent of respondents said they were more likely to support intervention, while 40% said they were less likely, found the survey, obtained by The Post on Tuesday.

I’m surprised it isn’t 80% or higher.

When the people are informed, yes they agree. OTOH,it seems like half the country are not informed about Somali fraudsters.

A sizable fraction of that half doesn’t care about anything other than what happens to them. If it affects them then you might hear from them.

They clearly had to grease the skids for the result they wanted with the claim they included in the question.

If this were about narcoterrorism the focus would be on Mexico and Columbia. What’s the support in America when you factor out Cuban Americans who are all in for anything vaguely anti- Castro?

It's disturbing that 40% said they were less likely to support it. Does this mean that 40% actually WANT a "known hub for Iranian and Hezbollah terror, including military drone production and narcoterrorism" operating out of Venezuela?

What kind of loaded leading bs question is “As you may know, Venezuela is a known hub for Iranian and Hezbollah terror, including military drone production and narcoterrorism. Does this make you more or less likely to support American intervention in Venezuela?”

A note on the Council for a Secure America from their own website.

CSA was established by key domestic energy producers and leaders from the Jewish community with the aim of educating the public about American energy independence and related foreign policy issues.

Key Founding / Leadership Figures

Harold Hamm
• Co-Chairman of the Council for a Secure America.
•Founder of Continental Resources, one of the largest independent oil producers in the U.S. His leadership role signals CSA’s roots in the domestic energy sector.

Fred Zeidman
• Co-Chairman alongside Hamm.
• Chairman Emeritus of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, indicating involvement from a prominent community and advocacy leader.

Martin Frost
• Listed as Secretary/Treasurer of the organization.
•Former long-time U.S. Congressman representing Texas, linking the group to political leadership experience.

*** “As you may know, Venezuela is a known hub for Iranian and Hezbollah terror, including military drone production and narcoterrorism. Does this make you more or less likely to support American intervention in Venezuela?” ***

Gotta love the neutral way they framed the question.

In reality when many protesters are told facts about what they are protesting against they either don’t believe it or are unaware....then there’s the protester that has to look at the sign he was provided to see what it is he’s protesting.
