The renovation for a reserve currency supply for the last 112 years has cost more than $38 trillion!
The criminal issue involved here is that Powell lied to Congress when testifying about the huge cost of this specific renovation.
Powell has been acting out of petty personal political petulance. The renovation costs absolutely need a forensic audit, and it needs to be made public.
They’re not renovating something. They’re building a new Federal Reserve building. Trump claimed the cost is $3 billion. Powell disputed that. I take it that this grand jury is about some alleged perjury on Powell’s part regarding the new building.
I think Powell is incompetent. He has said that Trump’s tariffs are a reason not to cut interest rates. They are not, because tariffs can’t produce continual inflation. Any inflation they may cause would be a one-time thing. That’s not something the Fed should be trying to counteract, because it’s not the result of excess monetary expansion.
The only way it can counteract increased prices due to tariffs is to throw the economy into a recession, and then it would probably have to keep it in one.
Here comes Jeffrey Epstein again.
In a 2018 email to Steve Bannon Epstein rated getting rid of Powell a top priority bigger than Syria’s Civil War where President Trump bombed twice on behalf of the jihadists.
