Unbelievable. Insanity in Tehran: Regime Cuts Internet to 80 Million, Streams Tucker Carlson on Loop. In a twist of dystopian irony, the Islamic Republic has pulled the plug on the nation’s internet and phone lines, plunging 80 million citizens into digital darkness, only to fill the void with the voice of Tucker Carlson.

The Iranians are lucky - Tucker knows all there is to know.
Tucker is a useful idiot.
It amazes me that I can be fooled so often. I used to think Carlson was a straight shooter. I also used to like Candace Owens. For a time I listened to Mark Levin. I even thought GWB was a decent guy.
Sometimes I think I should stick to cartoons.
I just keep reminding myself that these are the people who ran for Student Government in high school. They were the ones lobbying to get rid of the candy machine.
They haven’t changed.
They are all “cartoons” (pathetic as that is).
This is relatively recently. Last year or few? He wasn’t anti-American decades ago, AFAIK. The current version is disturbing.
This story sounds ridiculous, really ridiculous. So I just checked. By golly, it’s also being reported here:

The Express is a leftist news source. So make of it what you will.
Levin, whom Rush called The Great One was a Freeper. I met him in the Capital Holiday Inn at a gathering of Freepers sponsored by the DC Chapter.
Bush was a great President. He is one of the few in history who conquered Baghdad

It really is surprising. My guess is that some Islamist agency got to Carlson, and is now paying him big bucks in “consulting fees”.
If there’s a better explanation, I can’t think of it.
“I even thought GWB was a decent guy.”
So did I, until he uttered the phrase: “Islam is a religion of peace.”
That was the point I knew we were in for it.
Which one?
Not that it matters, with GHWB a CIA guy, with some involvement in the JFK murder; and Jr. involved in 911.

“GHWB a CIA guy, with some involvement in the JFK murder; and Jr. involved in 911.”
Candy Owens, is that you? Or are you some other nutjob blowhard?
Isn’t Tucker a Freeper? Where else did he get his “globohomo” schtick?
I don’t know
I suppose there will be some disagreement here on Free Republic, but I rank George W. Bush as one of our very worst presidents.
After 9/11 W had a unique opportunity to crush radical Islam, both in word and in deed. Just as FDR crushed Imperial Japan after Pearl Harbor.
Instead W told us that “Islam is peace”. Then he committed our country to two expensive and bloody nation-building misadventures, one in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.
Could Al Gore have done much worse? I actually don’t know the answer to that question.

Same here. 100%
Sometimes it makes you wonder if those folks fell to metal illness, paid under the table, or both.
Every President has faults.
In the end a presidency comes down to whom they surround themselves, the cabinet.
A good president has a great cabinet.
And of course a president has to deal with Congress. A president that has a cooperative Congress can do great things.
Bush tried to reform Social Security in his first term and was blocked by Congress. And of course SS is broke and bleeding money today.
A President is the biggest fish in a big pond and can only a only be a good as the pond in which he swims.
