Interesting timing. At a New Years Eve gathering, I was speaking with a family member’s friend who escaped Venezuela. They were hoping Maduro would die of lead poising this year.
No offense, but you sound like a whiny first grader. Trump does like peace but is not a pacifist. A president’s first job is to protect the country. You do what it takes to protect the country. With the closure of the southern border and since speed boats are no longer bringing in illegal drugs, overdoses in 2025 plummeted. Many of those drugs are laced with deadly fentanyl.
There are tens of thousands of people alive that would otherwise be dead along with families that won’t be grieving the death of a loved one.
Venezuela is client state of China and is an exporter of terrorism. Maduro was told to leave and he chose to stay. Sorry, but we are returning to the past in which we did not allow any regime that posed a danger to the US in our hemisphere.

This MIGHT be a response to arrests of US nationals in Venezuela. I’m stressing the “MIGHT be”, as it’s just a guess.

It was a government chart of overdoses by year and I’m sure the number is only preliminary. And no, I don’t have a link. The news report was brief with just a glimpse of a chart. Yes, I realize charts cab be manipulated, but it was a sharp decline and it would have to be due to the border closure. I’m sure the cartel will keep trying.

True. Rudy saved a lot of potential victims in NY but it didn’t help him with blacks. Trump is doing the dirty thankless job.
