I’m no fan of Putin, but Ukraine has become a country no one wants to fight for.
If I were Ukrainian and was kidnapped to be sent to the front lines, I would just throw down my weapon and walk to the Russian sides, because I’m dead anyway. No point in compounding it by taking lives when my life is taken.

That seems to be a Russian thing, too. Traditionally, friends and family threw something like a wake for the recruit as enlistments were long and they probably would never see him again.

Such scenes, filmed by drones or soldiers and subsequently posted online, are far from unprecedented since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Observers warn that they are only the tip of the iceberg. In recent weeks, however, images documenting these crimes have become increasingly frequent. “Since mid-November 2025, we have recorded an increase in reports of executions of Ukrainian soldiers captured by Russian forces,” Danielle Bell, head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU), told Le Temps.

I understand that, but I’m dead anyway. All I can do in that situation is the most moral option of allowing myself to die than take a life in the process.
The war was started to eliminate the Ukranian people to open up their land to the EU to send their migrants, so the migrants have EU citizenship and they are cheap labour.

This war was designed to eliminate Ukrainians in order to seize their farmland and mineral wealth. It’s a terrible situation and all you can do is minimal harm when you’re in this situation.
No. The militarization and push to include Ukraine into NATO by us is what caused this war.
Russia feared the militerization of Ukraine, because it would be used to invade Russia. Russia’s fear is well-founded and we told Russia to go pound sand when it sought assurances to prevent this.
I don’t blame Russia one bit, considering that our leadership keeps putting white people in harm’s way through their policies.
