Tech-savvy sleuths have discovered a way to uncensor the heavily redacted files on notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as the Department of Justice continues to release the documents.
Some portions of the documents, initially blacked out in Adobe Acrobat by the federal agency, pop up when copied and pasted into Google Docs or Microsoft programs like Word, The Post confirmed during a test run.
The Post, however, cannot confirm the veracity of the redactions.

Well, this will be interesting.
A properly done redaction with Acrobat Pro actually deletes the text and replaces it with just a black box. Upon creating a new copy of the document (this is the ‘properly done’ part), the metadata that might retain the text is also gone and there’s simply nothing to ‘recover’.
So either someone screwed up royally, or this is BS. I guess I’ll just sleep on it and see in the morning.
(Recovering text from *properly* redacted Adobe documents doesn’t work via the methods in the article- I’ve tried myself).

Adobe/PDFs have been around long enough that I am pretty sure they have the redaction function down.
Technically Blondie is in violation of the law which says all documents must be released in 30 days. If she needed more time she should have said so. Time for her to go.
What law is that? Many documents take longer than that to create? So all government documents ever created have been released?

She has the obligation to obey the law! Most especially since she leads the DOJ and is considered the highest law enforcement person in the country. She should have said from the get go that there were way too many files to redact in that time period but instead just gives everybody the brush off as if there’s no issue with it. I bet Bongino left because he couldn’t stand this stupid woman.
She may well be an idiot, but if she didn’t redact documents properly, might that also be a crime?

It wouldn’t be a crime but perhaps the victims could sue her. Don’t know if she’s covered by sovereign immunity or something being in government.
They blacked it out electronically... They should’ve printed the docs, blacked it out and then scanned it... Instead they just scanned it and blacked it out electronically which can be removed... electronically. Do-h!
