Conan O’Brien reportedly stopped guests from calling 911 on Nick Reiner during his explosive fight with his dad, Rob Reiner, at the comedian’s holiday party on Saturday — hours before Rob and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner were found dead.
“They got in an argument, the father and son. It got so bad and loud someone wanted to call the police to report it,” an insider familiar with the event told Daily Mail on Friday.
“But Conan stepped in and said, ‘It’s my house, my party, I’m not calling the police.’ He talked them out of calling the police.”
A second source echoed the first insider’s comments, adding that guests worried that Nick needed to be placed on a psychiatric hold due to his behavior.
“When the s–t was hitting the fan, somebody said we need to call the police. The conversation was about getting this kid put into a mental-health hold,” the source told the outlet.
“It makes sense; who wants the cops showing up creating a scene?” the insider noted of O’Brien’s alleged decision to keep the police from intervening.
“But the argument between Rob and Nick was pretty intense.”

That’s not gonna make Conan look good.

Yep, I am sure they all had cellphones there. Nobody needed to know who called the cops.
It could have possibly saved their lives.
With at least several dozen cellphones at that party and no one videoed anything?.................
If the call had been made maybe the two people would be still alive and Nick getting the mental health care he so badly needed.
That’s little naive. If the host, who is an important person, discouraged it, that certainly makes people less likely to call.
the Hollywood Crowd is the same cut of people that breed politicians.

How hypercritical would it have been for that “defund the police” Hollywood crowd at Conan’s place to have called the Cops. If not for their warped ideology, the Reiner’s may well be alive.

I think everyone there had phones and didn’t need anyone’s permission to call 911.

Conan is nearly 7 feet tall, and he was the host. I don’t blame anyone for not defying him.
How would anybody tell who the insane people are?
