Authorities say the same suspect was responsible for Saturday’s mass shooting at Brown University and the Monday night murder of an MIT professor in Brookline, Mass.
At a news conference Thursday night in Providence, that city’s police chief Col. Oscar Perez identified the Brown suspect as 48-year-old Claudio Manuel Neves Valente.
At a separate news conference in Boston, U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley said Valente, a Portuguese national, is also believed to be the gunman who killed MIT physicist Nuno F.G. Loureiro.
Ted Docks, the Special Agent in Charge of Boston’s FBI field office, told the press a search warrant was executed Thursday night at a storage facility in Salem, N.H., just over the Massachusetts border where Valente was found dead. Also at the scene was a rental car that investigators had connected to the suspect.
Authorities said Valente took his own life, and his body was found with material connecting him to the Brown shooting.
“He was found dead with a satchel with two firearms and evidence in the car that matches exactly what we see at the scene here in Providence,” said Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha.
Brown University President Christina Paxson said Valente had been a student at the school from 2000 to 2001, taking graduate classes in physics.
This is a developing story.
Sounds like he was a Democrat....
Guest on FOX just said he killed the MIT Professor first.
Making timeline fit the Narrative.
Suspect was also speaking to someone on his Cellphone at the Rental Car location.
He may have killed himself. Equally, others may have dealt with the loose end.
The coverup is complete. The patsy has been silenced.
That is a bit far fetched. Here is my 2 cents worth. The killer and the MIT geek went to school together back in the 90’s in Portugal. They were both physics phd’s, killer also went to Brown.Killer and MIT geek were both working on fusion. Killer came up with some breakthrough info on fusion reaction while at brown. Geek used killers research and promoted it as his own and with it all the accolades that goes with it. Now it’s time to get even and revenge. Shoot his old school up and then kill his buddy from his home country. Geeks are funny that way when someone steals their research.
Well, that’s not far-fetched. 🤡
This killer was a combination. Clever in planning to have a “Farrady Bag” to block any surveillance and ping information on his electronics. Pre-arranged second set of license plates which he switched to quickly. Figured out where in the campus lacked cameras.
But....Used his real name (!) on Enterprise Rental Car document. Used his real name (!) to rent the storage unit in November. Walked back and forth, circled and returned to that one or two streets route as if making up his mind.
Then shot that College Republican student 10 times in the head. Then another man. Others with normal spraying of rounds. And the separate MA killing was of a professor he knew from Portugal, with no spraying of rounds to people around the man or neighbors.
Stole my research.... Just can’t let it go..
Spelled Farraday. Sorry.
Or he envied the guy who was better at physics than he was.

I don’t usually go in on conspiracy theories but this one really stinks. I’d say he is the MIT killer, but not the Brown killer. I’ve heard that cops will do that sometimes, pin crimes with a similar MO on someone. Say with a suspectd serial killer. Clears up the cold cases that way.
If I got the gist of the press conference today, they said the killer attended Brown briefly back in 2001, before many of the current students were even born. Why shoot up Brown now? What has he been doing in the meantime?
You left out the last part: Crazy person writes crap on Free Republic.
Heeeeeereee we go with the conspiracy kooks! We’ve got too many quackadoodles listening to their conspiracy queen Candace. Bet tomm her and her followers will blame the joooooooossss
Smells like bullshit.
