Trump moves to ban hospitals from providing transgender healthcare for children

The Trump administration has acted to ban gender-affirming care for minors across the country.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said Thursday it could pull federal funding from any US hospital that offered transgender surgeries or pharmaceutical treatment.

The department's announcement said the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will release a notice of proposed rulemaking that will bar hospitals from performing 'sex-rejecting' procedures on children under 18 if the institutions want to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

'These procedures include pharmaceutical or surgical interventions of specified types that attempt to align a child’s physical appearance or body with an asserted identity different from their sex,' HHS wrote.

'Nearly all U.S. hospitals participate in Medicare and Medicaid and this action is designed to ensure that the U.S. government will not be in business with organizations that intentionally or unintentionally inflict permanent harm on children.'

The procedures and care flagged by HHS as 'sex-rejecting' are more widely defined by medical institutions as 'gender affirming.'

CMS will also release additional proposed rulemaking that will prohibit federal Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) funding for gender affirming care on minors.

Currently, 23 states provide Medicaid funding for these interventions, which include hormone and puberty blockers, mental health support and gender-reassignment surgery, according to HHS.

The administration claimed that gender affirming care on minors can 'cause irreversible damage, including infertility, impaired sexual function, diminished bone density, altered brain development, and other irreversible physiological effects.'

HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr signed Thursday a declaration based on an HHS report published in November, which found that procedures such as hormone blockers and surgery 'do not meet professional recognized standards of health care.'

While I am very much against transitioning stuff for weirdos, there ARE legitimate reasons why kids might be given hormone treatments. It’s not something that happens often, but making broad bans on stuff is not usually a good plan.

Often these drugs were introduced to treat specific cases and evolved into treating the weirdos. Just like plastic surgery was invented after WWI to treat wounded soldiers has evolved into making women look like cats.

I hope this is done carefully so it doesn’t harm the people who really need it.

The GOP needs to stop trading off the fact that the subject is a good grind against the Democrats at the District level -- as flatly stated by no less than Obama himself -- and the Republicans actually protect all their constituents, including those with demented libtard parents!
Gender Care Master Settlement Agreement
The GCMSA was entered on ________, 2026, between the 4 largest US gender care companies: Planned Parenthood @PPFA, the American Medical Association @AmerMedicalAssn, the American Academy of Pediatrics @AmerAcadPeds, and @WPATH – the "original participating manufacturers", (referred to as the "OPM") and the attorneys general of 46 states. The states settled their lawsuits against the gender care industry for recovery of their gender-related health-care costs.
The companies agreed to curtail or cease certain gender care marketing practices, as well as to pay, in perpetuity, various annual payments to the states to compensate them for some of the medical costs of caring for persons with gender care-related illnesses.
The money also funds a new detransition advocacy clearinghouse, the "Global Truth About Gender Initiative", that is fully-funded for enlightenment campaigns, such as "There Are Only Two Sexes" and "Detransition Now!"; and maintains a public archive of documents resulting from the cases. In the GCSA, the original participating manufacturers (OPM) agreed to pay a minimum of US$1 trillion over the first 25 years of the agreement.
Do you want to know how that was done? Replace "tobacco" with "gender care", that is nearly verbatim the 1998 Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement.
What the GOP is missing out on, is that bringing this to a halt will take at least a year -- what better quality-of-life issue to run on in 2026 than this Master Settlement Agreement? Fill Committee meetings with detransitioned men and women. Have another Committee take up meetings on amending Title IX to keep these mutants out of women's sports.
Put an end to this national nightmare!
