The Arctic just experienced its hottest year since record-keeping began more than a century ago, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Wednesday. Rising temperatures in the polar region show no signs of leveling off, either, according to the agency, which said they are rising twice as fast as overall global temperatures.
NOAA reviewed how the Arctic is faring in a warming world in the latest iteration of its annual Arctic Report Card.
"To observe the Arctic is to take the pulse of the planet," reads the report's executive summary.
Since the previous year's report card, climate change has continued to impact the Earth's northernmost area even more than the rest of the planet, NOAA said. The latest report details some of the most concerning developments observed over the last year, with scientists noting "a clear pattern of Arctic warming."

Nowhere do they say what the artic temp rate is, nor the global rate. Double of very little is still very little.
Here in North Idaho, we’ve been running 15 to 25 degrees warmer than average the past four weeks or so. It was actually one degree COLDer at our daughter’s place in Concord, CA and the same for our other house on the San Francisco Peninsula.
Right now we are getting extreme winds from all the storms blowing in from the Pacific and winds out of the SW.
It sure seems like we are experiencing warming.
And here in Ohio we have been way below “average” so apparently you are experiencing man made warming and we are experiencing man made cooling OR what us unejumicated folks call weather🤔
It’s speculated this could set off an ice age if true.
This was on a nature show decades ago.
As the Arctic warms the air holds more water, leading to precipitation. If enough snow falls heat is reflected back into the atmosphere.
When that happens snow piles up, reflecting more heat into space.
We really can’t do much about this if it is true.
Lol…Idaho and Ohio are averaging out. That’s because people often confuse the two states because they sound alike!
This is great news. Ice age kills 10 times more mammals than global warming.

More NOAA/CBS BS. Seems they haven’t eliminated enough employees from the NOAA who push this climate fraud.
The temperature records are tainted from their ‘adjustments’, which are always lowered to make it appear the temperature increase (assuming there even is an increase) much greater than it really is.
Since their numbers are for the most part fraudulent we have to use other proxies.
What is the correct artic temperature?
Melting sea ice does NOT raise sea level.
Another Hail Mary from the bitter clinger cultists. Of course the Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the globe. It always does. That’s how the global weather system dissipates solar heat: warmer air from the equator flows toward cooler air at the pole. Basic thermodynamics. There it is radiated into space.
