An Orthodox Jewish man was attacked on the New York City subway last night, in an incident that was recorded and published on social media.
In the footage, two men approach a group of Orthodox men, reportedly members of the Chabad Lubavitch sect, and begin hurling insults at them.
One of the Jewish men then appears to step in between the two aggressors and the other Jewish men, at which point they turn on him and threaten to “teach [him] a lesson,” before grabbing him by the neck.
“The (*redacted*) you doing?” the attacker can be heard demanding of the Jewish man as he pushes him backwards. “I’ll kill you!”
“I’ll kill one of [you],” the attackers says again, before letting go of the man’s neck.
Several people can be heard shouting in the background for the men to “chill” and “calm down,” but nobody takes any other steps to stop them.
The subway train then pulls into the station and the Jewish men leave the carriage, while the two attackers continue to hurl insults at them as they go.
After the incident, the man who was physically assaulted tells the ultra-Orthodox news outlet VINNews that the attacker grabbed him by the neck after he took out his phone to record the altercation.
“The moment the younger of the two realized I was recording, he attacked me,” he said.
The incident was filmed by a different member of the Chabad community who was standing further down the train carriage and was not targeted.
In response to the footage circulating on X, US Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon says her department will investigate the “horrific” incident.
Two days ago, you suggested that American Jews’ concerns for their safety while appearing Jewish in public was “gaslighting”.
In the last 24 hours, a Jewish family in California had their house shot 20 times due to their public Hanukkah displays, and these subway riders were assaulted.
The News Cycle has been particularly tough in defeating your mistaken point.

In light of Daniel Penny, who would dare to take any kind of helpful action?
Supposedly Kathy Hochul had dialogue with Jewish interest groups...yet, she supported Mandami...now what does she do?
Has she been threatened by Muslim brotherhood or like groups? Are the feds gonna overrule and expose her forced complicity (if so) to anti-Jewish groups?
Just askin’
Hochul will do nothing and go on vacation
:... two [ missing adjective ] men approach a group of Orthodox men..."If the writing standards were clearer, adjectives would be applied to both or neither. As in, two men approach two men.... Or.....
Two "dark complexioned 'white men' approach two lighter-complexiond 'white men...." using the mainstream media standard. / sarc
Is FReepdom’s Morally Superior Scold Fury (affectionately known as “Furry”) an Admin Moderator?
Inquiring minds want to know.
The speed with which this article has been taken down twice when she was losing arguments suggests Jim Rob’s creation now disallows the noticing of high levels of black violence, a Furry special.
Any thoughts on that?
My guess is that you posted this article and left the f-bomb intentionally included.
And now you’re crying cause it was taken down.
These men assaulting the Orthodox Jews should be arrested and prosecuted.

There are also cases of good people who step in to help, only to get stabbed themselves. Here’s one such incident. There are others.
It takes someone very special (like Daniel Penny) to decide to intervene anyway.
Side note: Could one solution be to allow subway riders to carry contact tasers?
I failed to scrub the article, a mistake.
Then I posted it scrubbed of the f bomb with a link to a site where the whole article was readily available, but the link included other articles too. A technical violation I was unaware of, and have never seen enforced. That posting was taken down in mere seconds, as if Furry herself was acting as Admin Mod.
Which begs the question.
Reading you in.
See above.
Decent , rational people tend to avoid riding the subway. Those that do or must if confronted with such a situation know that not only do they put themselves and their families at rish by taking action, but if the perpetuators are minorities or some favored protected group, they are likely to be charged criminally by New York’s DA and later sued civilly for their actions. New York is becoming unlivable.

The city is not a place I'd want to live
I didn’t push the button but certain colorful
“language” was ALWAYS an issue as per JimRob’s
memo from years and years ago.
I have the link on the laptop 💻 but not on

I am very sorry to read about this - and the home in California being shot up b/c of a Hanukkah display.
We had a Menorah in the front window, but my daughter is on the 3rd floor so I doubt it was seen from the street below. Still..
Another day, another attack on the subway. We are re-thinking a trip to New York City this summer.
