Six United Nations peacekeepers from Bangladesh were killed on Saturday in a drone strike on Sudan's southern Kordofan region, the UN mission said, with Dhaka sharply condemning the attack.

Muslims killing Muslims?
We can send our Somalis over to help.
Horrifying. So much pain and brokenness in the world. Christmas is upon us and the message of Christ’s coming in the flesh is as timely now than ever.
O come, Thou Dayspring, from on high,
And cheer us by Thy drawing nigh;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death’s dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

Its rare that putting UN “peacekeepers” in a hot war zone actually keeps any peace. What usually happens is what happened here - the UN puts some troops in and eventually, some get killed. Then the UN pulls the troops out. Why were they there? What were they supposed to do? Is the theory that if they are physically standing between two warring parties, that the combatants will stop fighting for fear of hitting the UN troops? That’s a bad theory. No one cares because they know that there will be no consequence for killing UN “peacekeepers.”
Any word on the drone like where it’s from?
Agreed, unfortunately. To be successful, the “peacekeepers” have to have overwhelming capacity to make war...
Drone strike. Given the rapid proliferation of cheap but deadly drones, it seems to me that peacekeeping troops inserted into most any conflict zone are going to have to be incredibly well equipped...
