Inside a closed Los Angeles courtroom, something wasn’t right.
*** A Chinese billionaire was seeking parental rights to at least four unborn children, and the court’s additional research showed that he had already fathered or was in the process of fathering at least eight more—all through surrogates.
When Pellman called Xu Bo in for a confidential hearing in the summer of 2023, he never entered the courtroom, according to people who attended the hearing. The maker of fantasy videogames lived in China and appeared via video, speaking through an interpreter. He said he hoped to have 20 or so U.S.-born children through surrogacy—boys, because they’re superior to girls—to one day take over his business.
Several of his kids were being raised by nannies in nearby Irvine as they awaited paperwork to travel to China. He hadn’t yet met them, he told the judge, because work had been busy.
***The judge denied his request for parentage—normally quickly approved for the intended parents of a baby born through surrogacy, experts say. The decision left the children he’d paid for to be born in legal limbo.
*** Pellman’s decision in the confidential case, which has never been reported, was a rare rebuke to a little-known trend in the largely unregulated U.S. surrogacy industry: Chinese elites and billionaires who are going outside of China, where domestic surrogacy is illegal, to quietly have large numbers of U.S.-born babies.
Some Chinese parents, inspired by Elon Musk’s 14 known children, pay millions in surrogacy fees to hire women in the U.S. to help them build families of jaw-dropping size. Xu calls himself “China’s first father” and is known in China as a vocal critic of feminism. On social media, his company said he has more than 100 children born through surrogacy in the U.S. ...

He said he hoped to have 20 or so U.S.-born children through surrogacy—boys, because they’re superior to girls—to one day take over his business.
Which of course means that there are at least as many female human beings - who are being discriminated against for no other reason than their gender and are being left to die, or to be used for other purposes, or left frozen indefinitely which is essentially a death sentence.
Not to mention in surrogacy any fetus that doesn’t meet the purchaser’s perverse standard of perfection genetically, is aborted.
Women opened up this can of worms by selling their bodies and by suppressing their maternal instincts, sometimes out of what they think is sympathy for an infertile couple, or just for money. Women can put a stop to it by refusing to be tools.
Authorities take custody of 21 kids in California while surrogate moms claim couple misled them

Twenty-one children are in the custody of a California child-welfare agency while authorities investigate a Los Angeles-area couple and whether they misled surrogate mothers around the country.
Fifteen children were removed from the couple’s opulent home in Arcadia after an abuse allegation in May, and another six living elsewhere were also located, Arcadia police Lt. Kollin Cieadlo said. They range in age from 2 months to 13 years, with most between 1 and 3.
“We believe one or two were born biologically to the mother,” he said. “There are some surrogates who have come forward and said they were surrogates for the children.”
Silvia Zhang, 38, and Guojun Xuan, 65, are believed to be the legal parents, Cieadlo said.
They were arrested in May after a hospital reported that their 2-month-old infant had a traumatic head injury, the result of a nanny at the home violently shaking the baby, Arcadia police said. The child was not taken to the hospital for another two days.
Cieadlo said neglect charges were not formally pursued in order for an investigation to continue. The couple told police that they “wanted a large family,” the lieutenant said.
Zhang produced what appeared to be legitimate birth certificates, including some from outside California, that list her as the mother of the children, Cieadlo said.
He said the FBI is also part of the investigation. A spokesperson declined to comment when reached Wednesday by The Associated Press.
“I’m not familiar with how the surrogacy laws work,” Cieadlo said. “We need to do a much deeper dive.”
TV stations in Los Angeles quoted women who said they were surrogate mothers for the couple but that they didn’t realize so many other surrogates were also involved.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Zhang and Xuan had a lawyer who could speak...

The force of dynastic evil is strong in this one.
Put all of his get up for untraceable adoption.
Another reason to say no to the unnaturalness of surogacy and to follow God’s provision of orphans needing families.
It’s long term planning. They are establishing their hereditary rights to certain prime lands before the troops arrive.
I didn’t read the WSJ article, but did read other articles stating,
“Xu Bo had several children (all of mixed Chinese and Jewish descent)”.
Very weird guy. Also read, he hoped the children would marry Elon Musk’s children.
This needs to be banned.
Maybe not.
Billionaires by definition, tend to be capitalist, not communist.
They might be just the immigrants we need.
Communism isn’t possible without billionaires supporting it.
