A father and son have been identified as the shooters behind the terrorist attack at Bondi Beach that has left at least 16 people dead.
Naveed Akram, 24, and Sajid Akram, 50, opened fire on a Jewish Hanukkah event shortly before 7pm on Sunday.
The 50-year-old was shot and killed by police, while the 24-year-old was shot before being taken into custody in a critical condition.
The death toll on Monday morning has risen to 16, including a girl, 10, and man, 40, who both died in hospital.
NSW Police say the dead range in age from 10 to 87 years.
A further 40 people are injured, including five people in a critical condition. Two injured police officers are in a serious but stable condition.
The incident had been designated as terrorism.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called the massacre “evil anti-Semitism” and “an attack on our way of life”.
“There is no place for this hate violence and terrorism in our nation,” he said. “Let me be clear, we will eradicate it.”

Fake story. Everyone knows that since all the guns got confiscated in the 90s that this cannot happen.
“There is no place for this hate violence and terrorism in our nation,” he said.....

You need to kick the jihadis out of your country, or this will continue.
For the record, jihad is low IQ. About the same as communism.
An unfortunate accident, mate.
None of this would have happened if the Jews weren’t there.

Keep bringing in Muslims
Well no wonder they both have the same last name!
Article:

You will not eradicate it.
You have no intention of mass expulsion of Muslims from your country.
You know it, your people know it, everyone in the world knows it.
Fake news is the ridiculous claim that all guns got confiscated.
There are more guns legally held in private hands in Australia now than there were in the 1990s - proportionately less, certainly, but in real terms more.
My firearms were never ‘confiscated’. In fact, I have still got most of the ones I had then, and also newer ones (I did sell one gun - fully my own choice to do so - about fifteen years ago - because I found it uncomfortable to handle as my hands weakened slightly as I’ve aged).
There’s plenty of dumb stuff in Australian gun laws, but law abiding citizens who want to own firearms can own quite a wide range.
I’ve no idea if these gunmen had their guns legally or not. If they were legal, I am worried governments will try to change the laws to ‘make us safer’. At this point, I can’t see much they could do that they haven’t already done.
But making too much fuss about our gun laws probably isn’t the interest of anybody who wants to see those laws not made even more restrictive.
It’s a Muslim family jihad!
Will Muslims be blamed? NO, OF COURSE NOT!
Whitey will be made the guilty party since Muslims can only be victims of Christian oppression.
Ahmed Al Ahmed, aged 43, the hero in today’s Bondi, Australia murders, is a Lebanese Maronite Christian who owns a shop selling Christian products.
His Arabic name has confused many into thinking he is Muslim.
Maronite Catholics are the largest Christian group in Lebanon, followed by Greek Orthodox.
Lebanese generally and Lebanese Christians typically have white to tan skin and have fought Lebanese Muslims for centuries.
So how did the father own 5 registered weapons:
The Daily Mail, UK: "NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon confirmed the 50-year-old, who is yet to be formally identified, held a gun licence and all firearms registered to him were legally owned."
We know that they were father and son, we know that a search warrant was issued for their house, but no names are mentioned in the linked article. I think we all know why.
Monsters.....let them eat pork and bacon for 5he 4est of their hideo7s days..may all their family be deported instantly?
The jihadis need to be kicked out of all countries, or not only will it continue, but it is likely to get worse.
Their names were mentioned in the article.
I’ve quoted the article I linked. It’s where I got the names from.
It’s nature as a rolling article means they may not have been easily visible by the time you got to the link but the names are not being hidden from people.
But USA Today reports: "The investigation into possible motives behind the attack is ongoing, NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said at the news conference."
Yes, I'm sure the authorities are mystified as to a possible motive, but will leave no stone unturned to discover the answer.
