A bombshell new report found “insufficient evidence” to back up most of its supposed benefits — and raised serious red flags about hidden risks.
“Patients deserve honest conversations about what the science does and doesn’t tell us about medical cannabis,” Dr. Michael Hsu, an addiction psychiatrist at UCLA and lead author of the study, said in a statement.
SNIP
Even though more than half of users try it for acute pain, Hsu and his team found no solid clinical evidence that it works. Current guidelines don’t recommend cannabis-based treatments as a first-line option for pain management.

Cannabis can’t stop pain... But if you’re high the pain is easier to accept. After all... Pain is just another sign that you’re still alive. After the pain disappears... You typically aren’t alive anymore.
Marijuana use causes anxiety and depression. It also leads to other mental health issues. It’s unhealthy. And people who smoke pot are losers.
“But if you’re high the pain is easier to accept“
My brother says the same thing about booze regarding his severe back pain (stenosis). He also tokes a little weed here and there.
If I had stenosis I’d be drunk all the time. There’s not much you can do for that.
And paranoia.
It has no medical use except maybe eye issues. A guy at church smokes it for his Vietnam PTSD. He’s alive so it must work for that. But is is Hell on your lungs and throat.
THC messes up your sleep pattern but CBD does the opposite. Best sleep ever.
The many damaging effects of weed have been known for decades yet it was legalized anyway. Who wants to guess why?
Any sane person that spends ‘time’ around users of weed know first hand they are not dealing with a stable mind.. The mind is a devious deceptive destruction..
Surprise, surprise, surprise!
I’d ask Dave for his opinion, but he’s not here.
Who could of guessed
Like most things, drugs have uses often with consequences
My favorite is the one for bug eyes that may result in permenant deafness.
Can see with bulging eyes and hear or “normal” looking eyes but now can’t hear🤔
To me the larger issue is all these people who find it necessary one way or the other “to take a trip and never leave the farm”
Oh good grief.
Legalization of cannabis was a huge mistake. It’s a snake in the grass and its long term use can ruin one’s life.
I’ve since had arthroplasty on one of my knees but before that I had a medicinal marijuana card with which I was able legally buy and use THC products for the duration. I had all kinds of osteoarthritis, a Baker’s cyst, torn ACL and so little meniscus left that it was bone-on-bone in there. The THC didn’t do a whole lot for the pain but it did help me to sleep and the buzz was also nice. I usually waited until I was ready to call it a night and falling asleep became much easier that way.
I’ve experienced whatever I wanted the whole way but listened to what the old folks said:
“All things in moderation.”
Closing in on 77 and feeling good. Pass the booze and pot.
“Who wants to guess why?”
My guess is that leftist gazillionaires like Soros have pushed legal weed because they want a population that is too stoned and stupid and lazy to question anything or fight back against all the crap.
..... Cannabis Study Reveals Hidden Risks of Medical Pot....
I knew it!
Yes chuckle pot heads are dumber than dirt
The cannabinoids CBD,CBC,CBG and CBN are great for inflammation, anxiety and CBN especially for sleep. No disrespect to this Dr in the article but I have a Cardiologist and Rheumatologist who can attest that cannabinoids alone have lowered my systemic inflammation (Arteritis), and I have the blood tests to prove it. 3 years on Prednisone and then Methotrexate didn’t do squat and 2 weeks on the CB,’s and my numbers are normal. Others mileage may vary.
