President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday shared a video of himself rallying troops at Kupyansk, a city Russia claimed to have taken control of. In the video, the city limit sign for Kupyansk is visible in the background, with intermittent explosions audible. The Kremlin claimed to have captured the city in late November and invited journalists to visit it alongside Russian troops. Zelensky rallied troops and said battlefield gains could influence ongoing peace talks.

They orchestrated yet another propaganda stunt that ended in a full-blown PR disaster. Putin proudly bragged last week, in front of international cameras, that Kupyansk had been captured by Russian troops and even told Trump that Ukrainians had giving up there.
Turns out reality didn’t get the memo. Not only do we see Zelensky walking confidently through the center of Kupyansk today, it completely shreds Putin’s narrative and exposes Russia’s sloppy propaganda effort. They lied to the world. Again.
The few Russian soldiers who attempted that doomed spearhead assault in Kupyansk just to hand Putin a fleeting PR moment… well, they’re dead now. And, as usual, Russia isn’t controlling Kupyansk at all.
So what they reclaimed a few city blocks, only hundreds of miles and tens of thousands dead young men to go. Sounds like a win. /s
I honestly don’t know what to believe about this war. I think that’s the way they want most Americans to be so we can just continue lining the pockets of military contractors.
No, Ukraine does not want any American’s or EU countries to fight for its defense against Russia’s Invasion. However, they and EU countries are buying US weaponry like never before. Which is good for America’s economy.

The truth is that Ukraine is running out of weapons and money to the extent that it will soon seriously impact Ukraine's ability prosecute the conflict
The EU and NATO have made promises to Ukraine that have neither the intention or ability to follow through on
Ukraine needs 120 billion euros a year minimum to stay in fight and so far maybe they have 10 billion euros committed and pretty much zero delivered
The EU wants the war to continue forever and they and Zelensky have sabotaged every one of President Trumps plans
Time to let Europe take the lead
It sucks that 25,000 people a month need die futile and meaningless deaths to keep this disaster going
The Ukrainian forces defeated the Russian invaders.

The Russian war machine is in even more-dire straits.
Russia's military resources (men and matériel) have been devastated. The sanctions are severely impeding the Russian war economy.
Ukraine is not pointing any nuclear-tipped missiles at America's heartland - but Russia is. As a patriotic American, I therefore welcome any and all degradation of Russia's diminishing military might and geo-political "reach."

For me, what is happening in Ukraine is sad stupidity.
Putin stupidly started an unnecessary war. I don’t care what anyone says about ‘reasons’ - the war was unnecessary and Russia is the aggressor. What has Russia gained? Being ostracized by much of the West and Japan, and even though Russia still has access to economies like China, India, and much of the Global South, it has still been a hit on Russia. For what?
Zelenskyy on the other hand stupidly fights a war that is clearly not going well for him. It does not matter how many Russians die, they will not stop unless the West fully gets involved in the war. And no European president or prime minister will authorize a war on behalf of Ukraine. No European leader is going to be willing to trade Paris, London, Warsaw, Prague, or Berlin for Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipro, or any other Ukrainian city, large or small. Thus, Ukraine will always get ‘support’ but that will never be at the level required to make a real change. Additionally, even if Ukraine was to magically win this very second, the demographic hit on the country is so massive it may be irreversible.
Both countries have been unwise, but have been damaged, and both have been used by outsiders (the West against Russia, China against the West to soak up weaponry that could be used for a Taiwan defense …and both the West and China have no true desire for the war to end). Both countries also lack true leadership. Putin is a blood-thirsty dunce, and Zelenskyy is (literally) a clown.
So, you’ll see Slav killing Slav until, at some point, either the West gets fully involved on Ukraine’s side (in which case Ukraine can win, but as mentioned I just don’t see any European leader willing to sacrifice their own for Ukraine) or the war continues until one of the two countries realizes they can’t absorb death loss as easily as the other can (with Russia most likely the ‘victor’ in that situation).
Humiliation?

The stupidity of a Russian president who doesn’t care for his soldiers or his country’s reputation and future.
The stupidity of a Ukrainian president that would rather do a PR stunt when men are being snatched off the street due to manpower issues, who goes around the world begging for assistance.
Humiliation? More like two geckos locked in a death struggle as a hawk swoops in to harvest both of them.
By this time next year either Russia will be defeated due to the West getting involved (and hopefully without things going boom); or Ukraine will be defeated due to simple bleed-out).

In my very brief weekend in Russia (Sochi) does Russia even have any men to fight? Every man was drunk before noon.
If Ukraine was getting their soldiers killed as you and the other Russian say are then Russia could just walk , not fight to get to Kyiv. Why do you think Russia has not taken the country in 4 years? Because Russia is weak and 30,000 Russians are taken off the battlefield every month by the Ukraine soldiers...
Everyone notices that you do not blame Putin for anything... And if Russia just went home, there would be no war. So, you do not want the war to end until Russia wins. And it bothers you that other countries help Ukraine protect its country.
