Federal authorities made their first arrest Thursday in connection with two pipe bombs that were planted outside the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on the eve of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The arrest marks a major step forward in a case that has vexed the FBI for nearly five years.
Both pipe bombs were placed outside DNC and RNC headquarters on the evening of Jan. 5, 2021, federal investigators have said. The devices — made out of 1x8-inch pipes, kitchen timers and homemade black powder — did not detonate, but the FBI has called them viable and warned they could have killed or injured people.

The FBI hasn’t released the name. Blame Kash, not the reporters.

Apparently, a news conference will be held at the Justice Department this afternoon to announce the arrest.
NBC News: Brian Cole is the person the FBI has in custody and whom they believe left the pipe bombs in DC on 1/5/2021, according to two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter.

The suspect arrested today in connection with the Jan. 6 pipe bombs investigation has been identified as Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old man from Woodbridge, Virginia
Just head John Solomon talking about the suspect, and that his photo was made public and he’s turned in by his father who recognizes him, ala similar to the Charlie Kirk murder suspect. (Pains me to say Charlie Kirk murder. I still cannot get over Charlie being assassinated.)
