Federal authorities made their first arrest Thursday in connection with two pipe bombs that were planted outside the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee headquarters on the eve of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The arrest marks a major step forward in a case that has vexed the FBI for nearly five years.
Both pipe bombs were placed outside DNC and RNC headquarters on the evening of Jan. 5, 2021, federal investigators have said. The devices — made out of 1x8-inch pipes, kitchen timers and homemade black powder — did not detonate, but the FBI has called them viable and warned they could have killed or injured people.

The timing of Jan 5th a day before Jan 6th tells the story. Obviously the pipe bomb incident was supposed to be blamed on MAGA.
Biden’s admin did nothing because they knew about it.
OR if they didn’t know about it (leftists can work independently you know) they figured no need to investigate because the public will assume it was MAGA related being so close to Jan 6.
OR they investigated it far enough to see that it pointed to a black man.
Take your pick. Another dem coverup.
No need for a pipe bomb story, since the J6 “insurrection” narrative was more sexy. So it was swept under the rug until Patel and Bongino took over, and ordered a real investigation. But the pipe bomb was fake from the getgo. Homemade black powder and a kitchen timer? Anyone who read the Anarchist’s Cookbook can hook up a more credible bomb.
What impresses you and what the law meant when the Constitution was written may be different. The court did a long review of what the term meant.
LOL! Senator Mark Warner blames the current FBI for it taking so long to arrest the J6 pipe bomber:

I think it is likely the dad is the person mentioned in the article. The kid would have been 25 with no monetary means to file such a case.

- works at his family bail bonds company that frees criminal aliens from ICE custody
Yeah, this explains exactly why the FBI & DOJ could not “find” this guy for 4 years. The Biden FBI had mountains of evidence against Brian Cole. Receipts, cell data, license plate, photos and videos of the crime. They knew exactly who did it!
But Brian’s profile destroys their entire ‘MAGA white supremacist insurrection bomber’ narrative in one blow.
The FBI didn’t “fail” to catch him.
Leftists protected their own.
This is the biggest FBI cover-up scandal in history. What a nightmare…
Still lots of questions about this case. We have waited close to 5 years for answers and now we have a suspect and a lead.

When the constitution was written, it was for citizen parents, plural:
The Naturalization Act of 1790 provided that “the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens
So I remain unimpressed with your explanation, as you didn’t explain.
I was able to find later “Acts” that state it clearly:
The term “natural born citizen” was used in the Naturalization Act of 1790, which stated that “the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea... shall be considered as natural born citizens.” The plural “citizens” led to some ambiguity and debate, but the 1934 Act solidified the one-parent rule in subsequent nationality law, even though the specific phrase “natural born” was dropped from statutes after 1795.
Later acts further refined the requirements:
Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act): This Act consolidated previous laws and set clear, though stringent, physical presence requirements for the one U.S. citizen parent (e.g., 10 years of physical presence in the U.S., 5 of which were after age 14) for the child to acquire citizenship at birth.
Act of October 10, 1978: This legislation eliminated the burdensome “retention requirements” for children born after 1952 to one U.S. citizen parent, making their acquisition of citizenship automatic and permanent from birth, assuming the parent met the presence requirements at the time of the child’s birth.
