Trump Administration Fires 8 Immigration Judges in New York
NY Times ^ | 12/01/25 | Ana Key

The Trump administration fired eight immigration judges in New York City on Monday, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

The firings followed an earlier round of job cuts in New York immigration courts and are part of a broader disruption across the country, which is taking place as the president seeks to accelerate deportations.

They were confirmed by an official at the National Association of Immigration Judges, a union representing immigration judges, and a Justice Department official who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the matter. The immigration courts are under the control of the Justice Department.

All the judges were dismissed from the immigration court’s offices at 26 Federal Plaza, a building that houses the New York City headquarters for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and has become the epicenter of migrant arrests in the city. The eight judges included Amiena A. Khan, the assistant chief immigration judge at 26 Federal Plaza, who supervises other judges there.

“The firings, part of a nationwide effort, felt “like a Monday afternoon massacre,” said one judge who lost her job last month”

“...part of a broader disruption across the country”

YES!! The damned government is too lethargic, too entrenched, too ossified. DISRUPTION is sorely needed to get performance up.

Dems and NYT just love things the way they were which tells you all you need to know.

Many of us have lived through new CEOs at our companies and, when they come in, they get the lay of the land and then the disruption follows. Why should FedGov be immune to that healthy change?

Because they are organized against the people who pay their salary so they can do the bidding of the deep state.

This is called America WINNING! America has had more “immigration” than it needs over the past four years. Time for the scum to pick “a better life” at some other country. America has NO VACANCY. Go the hell home.

If those judges worked under the Justice Department, then the Justice Department Khan fire them if they don’t follow the directions of the department.

A quick search for Judge Amiena A. Khan returned results that stated she “was known for her relatively high asylum grant rate compared to other judges”. Sounds like she just wanted to let everyone in.

I can’t understand how pieces of meat with two eyes who have never been elected get to decide which freeloaders get in and which people don’t.
