Of course if you actually read the article., it is about reenforcing NATO’s Eastern flank in case of a Russian attack, not launching an invasion of Russia.

I suspect young legacy population men in Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Britain will resist conscription. Like the French right wingers who said, better Hitler than Blum, the European elites have sufficiently alienated the lower economic strata of the native population that enforcement of conscription will be nearly impossible.
