After four years of house prices doubling (and in some areas, tripling) many young people feel priced out of the American Dream of homeownership.

A welfare fraud scandal in Minnesota reveals that large numbers of new arrivals aren't assimilating and are funneling our tax dollars to literal terrorist groups. An innocent woman was set on fire in Chicago as the mayor resists federal law enforcement resources to bring peace to one of our great cities. The Obamacare insurance system is buckling under its own weight. And the country is $38 trillion in debt.

Our administration is working hard on addressing all of these problems.

But you know what really fires up the beltway GOP? Not any of the above. Instead, the political class is really angry that the Trump administration may finally bring a four year conflict in Eastern Europe to a close.

I'm not even talking about the substance of their views. Much of what these people have said about the Ukraine war has been proven wrong, but whatever. We can agree to disagree.

But the level of passion over this one issue when your own country has serious problems is bonkers.

It disgusts me. Show some passion for your own country.

He should’ve added, “The previous administration left the border wide open and allowed 15 million people to illegally enter the country. Governors and mayors on blue states/cities then invited them to their states and cities, incentivizing multi-family homeowners to rent residences to the illegals and offering large bonuses to do so.

When you allow 15 million people to illegally enter the country and prioritize their housing at taxpayer expense, a housing crisis will be created!”

Legal immigration needs to end or at least be drastically cut back until we can get rid of the illegals. That will help with house prices. Most of the other issues would be better handled at the state level probably.

He gets it. I honestly think he’ll be a better and more transformative President than Trump.

When watching local news about the housing crisis, they interview young people about the need for low income housing. Just about every interview is of a person of latino background, often speaking in Spanish and requiring an interpreter. They demand low income housing be built at the taxpayer’s expense, and many are on Snap benefits. Deport the illegals, and the housing crisis disappears.

My daughter bought a house for $25,000 and sold it for $95,000. She put about $10,000 of work into it.

IF YOU BELIEVE IT IS CORRECT TO PAY THE KID WHO SLINGS FRENCH FRIES AT YOU FOR LUNCH-—$20 AN HOUR PLUS BENEFITS:

WHAT DO YOU THINK A LOGGER IS WORTH?
A CARPENTER IS WORTH?
A PLUMBER?
AN ELECTRICIAN?
A ROOFER?
A CARPET LAYER?
A PAINTER?
A DRYWALL HANGAR?
A LANDSCAPER?

YOU HAVE CREATED A STAIR-STEP ARRAY OF WORKERS WHO BUILD HOUSES-— AND YOU HAVE ADDED IMMENSELY TO THE COST OF HOUSING.

CANNOT HAVE BOTH.

My parents bought my 1000 ft² childhood home in 1981 for $69,000. Now it’s valued at $385,000.

Tells you what we’re up against.

“After four years of house prices doubling (and in some areas, tripling)”

Doubling to tripling of house prices represent a 100-200% increase. Just glad that it didn’t happen in my area.

“According to analysis of the Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, US home prices have risen approximately 47% since the beginning of 2020.”

And the country is $38 trillion in debt.

And yet, President Trump floated "tariff rebates" to the citizenry.

GETTING RID OF THE ILLEGALS WILL STABILIZE EVERYTHING-—FROM COSTS TO DECENT EDUCATION.

HOW MUCH “EDUCATION” DO YOU THINK YOUR KIDS ARE GETTING WHEN THE CLASSES ARE FILLED WITH 22 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES -—OTHER THAN ENGLISH??????

AS PARENTS & TAXPAYERS-—YOU ARE NOT BEING WELCOMING TO OUTSIDERS-—YOU ARE STEALING YOUR KIDS LEARNING YEARS.

DOUBLE SHAME ON YOU ALL.....

Lets do some thinking. Who owns that debt? If we give them the money what will they do with it. If we give the citizens the money, what will they do with it?

I agree.

Less respect for Wall St. and more respect to Main St.

He’s a genuine, natural born America Firster.

He would not waste 5 minutes on Ukraine.

I was 37 before I could buy a house. And then only in a small town. Why do people in their 20s expect to be able to buy a house in or near a big city?
