Ooooh no! Dang that weather, messing up the event and pushing it to this weekend, of all times. Ugh! Good luck!
At least you have a nice Thanksgiving to look forward to with your niece.
Evening, Lauren! Love our military!
Darn it. I was hoping he’d eat more. The fact he isn’t says there’s still something going on in there.
It was warm here, and cloudy and windy. At least it was dry so it was a nice enough day.
I’d say your wind was with the backside of the system moving across the state, just as ours was ahead of the front. I thought it was going to rain this afternoon but I guess the front stalled for a while. It’s closing in on me now but the strong storms won’t be here for a while yet.
Yeah, he came back in and ate a couple more bites, then sat down here beside me, looking up at me with those pleading kitty eyes. So I gave him what was left in the bowl of soft food. He just ate a bit of it, and whatever’s left, Ginger can have. Then tomorrow, only kibble. I’ll be watching to see if it works. If he starts losing weight again, then I’ll go back to softened kibble and Fancy Feast mix. I’ll figure something out.
I do agree that he needs things to get back to normal, though.
I’m glad it was warm there, but booo on the windy for you, too. I’m guessing this will be the on-going pattern for a while. The funny part is that it being windy here didn’t change anything else. It’s neither cooler nor cloudier. Or rainier. LOL!
I wish they had figured out just WHAT is wrong with him. Can’t treat it properly otherwise. He’s just gotten a generic treatment in hopes it’ll work. That’s all they can do when they don’t know what they’re dealing with. Doesn’t sound like it’s working well enough on him. Darn it.
You get wind when fronts come through so today wasn’t unexpected. You got wind being sucked into the backside of the front. It’s a pretty strong one.
The wind was a good thing, though, so I could get a feel for how Baby handles in it. Ol’ Besty is a tank and it takes a hurricane to move it around while driving. The Town Car is too light and a puff of wind shoves it around. I never liked that. Baby did just fine.
I wish they had, too. They did ALL the blood tests. They checked his mouth to see if it was his teeth and it wasn’t. I think the antibiotic shot is working...he might be a bit spoiled to this yummier food.
One thing I HAVE noticed. He hasn’t purred since before he went to the vet. I think THAT traumatized him. Would have me. LOL!
Great that Baby handles well in the wind. Did you get your insurance, etc., changed over today?
I had the same problem with Jasper last year. All kinds of tests and nothing specific showed up. We tried all kinds of treatment and nothing worked. One worked for a little while but then it stopped working. He got so bad I took him in to be put to sleep. The vet said there was one thing he hadn’t tried and he asked if I’d like to go with it. I did because I love that stupid cat. He got a depo medrol shot (a great steroid) and he’s doing well. For the “I don’t know what’s ailing them” issues, that stuff always seems to work.
Poor lil feller. He must have been really traumatized if he still isn’t purring.
Yes, I took care of the insurance, title, and tag shortly after I woke up today. I couldn’t drive it otherwise. It was a loooooong weekend waiting for today. LOL I’m happy with my choice and look forward to driving it a lot more.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:

How's everyone doing this morning?
I think you’ll enjoy driving Baby. It’s a sleek little thing, and the perfect size for you. Looks like it has plenty of cargo space too.
I’ve never known that cat not to purr loudly, especially when he’s right next to me as I’m trying to sleep. I miss that! Ok. I gave in and gave him the good stuff. I went back to make down the bed, and he was lying there with his little hipbones sticking out. I couldn’t stand that. I’ve got two weeks to work on getting his health built back up if it’s gonna be, and if he still won’t eat the kibble, I’ll think of something.
I take it that Jasper is doing better now? It might be that I’ll have to periodically take Peaches in for a shot of steroids, but the alternative of him going downhill is just to hard to even think about.
He enjoyed himself out there yesterday. I think I may have left one picture out of the set in my FB message from yesterday but we have Chisolm Trail Park later today so we’ll see what happens.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Glad to see you had a pretty day yesterday after the storms that rolled through. Gizmo looked pleased.
I’ll definitely enjoy driving Baby. It’s the smallest car I’ve driven in many years but it’s still a good size and yes, has lots of room.
Maybe Peaches’ lack of purring is because he still doesn’t feel up to snuff. I could always tell when Jasper wasn’t feeling well because he didn’t purr - - or meow. He’s very vocal.
Might not be a bad idea to call the vet to let him know where things stand right now and see if he wants to see Peaches again.
Jasper’s doing well at this point. If he starts throwing up again, I’ll just pop him in for another depo shot and he’ll be good as gold again. I can usually see a difference by the time we get home. He perks up pretty fast. By the next day, he’s back to normal.
I think he has a way to go before he’s all better. He does have another appointment with the vet on the 4th of December. I was thinking that if he was much better by then, I’d cancel the appointment, but I think I’m going to have to keep it.
I’m glad to hear that Jasper is doing well right now. I hope those shots continue to do the trick for him. He’s a good ol’ boy!
Guess I’d better finish up and get to sleep. Still catching up from the weekend. See ya tomorrow!
They’re waiting a long time for a re-check. Do they ever call to see how things are going with something as serious as Peaches has going on?
I love my vet. He makes a note for one of the techs to call after a few days or a week, depending on how serious the issue is, to see how things are going. If things aren’t improving like they think they should, they have me take the cat back in asap. I got lucky finding that vet.
With luck, Jasper won’t need any more shots. That’ll be nice, especially for him!
Sleep well and enjoy catching up on your sleep a little more. Catch ya tomorrow for the quiz.
