The Skies Empty Over Caracas As the Dictator Dances

Nicolás Maduro's days are numbered, and no one knows it better than the man himself. If you can call him that. As I wrote earlier this week, he wears $1,000 shoes, while the people of Venezuela can't even feed their children. That's not a man.

Anyway, as I'm writing this, it's Sunday evening, which means that when the clock strikes midnight tonight, Maduro's Cartel de los Soles will officially become a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). As usual, there's a lot of speculation going on in the MSM this weekend, ranging from military action that may or may not go down this week to suggestions that the current negotiations taking place in Geneva regarding the Russian-Ukrainian War are related to what is (or isn't) happening in Venezuela. I don't believe anything until it happens or I have concrete evidence or a statement from a named official.

What I can report today is that Maduro is still trying to appeal to the American public to stop Donald Trump from invading his country and crying about imperialism. Last week, he did it by singing "Imagine" by John Lennon and claiming he has some sort of direct line to Jesus, who will protect Venezuela from the yanquis. This weekend, he's turned to dancing. Same clown, different beat.

For weeks, Maduro has been shouting the few English words and phrases he seems to know — "respect," "please peace," and "no crazy wars" — to anyone who will listen, whether he's on his regular state TV program, speaking at a rally, or calling out for help from the United Nations. Someone must have taken those cries and melded them together into a techno banger, which they played for el presidente ilegítimo at a student march this weekend. Here's what happened:

Maduro tries to reach American hearts and minds by making a Borat impression, speaking to them directly in English:

“Peace? Yes!

Respect? Yes.

War? Listen to me. War no, never never war!”

Trump has some devilish plans ready for Madero. Coup is my bet—he has already talked to the generals and others. A revolt—with US backing—a bullet or two, a few assassinations—government in the hands of the army, vow to return it to civilian rule—add package from USA, oil purchases from America. Elections and moderates win. Russians and Chinese go home win for all and no big war—just a bit of Gunboat Diplomacy. Next Target—Cuba.

We have no business in regime change other than supplying weapons to the side that wants a more democratic government and even then, you don’t always get what you ask for...

If a regime is actively sending billions in drugs that kill our citizens and thugs like Tren-de-Arugua (however it’s spelled) that murder our people, absolutely we need to do something about it. Liberating the Venezuelan people is a plus. It would be a good to help them and have reciprocal relationship once again.

Other the Venezuelan immigrants, most Americans couldn't give a hoot about Maduro.

The vast majority see no valid reason to do anymore than blow up drug boats coming out of Venezuela and our sick of unnecessary wars.

Why Cuba next? The people are sick of the cabal that runs things and there could well be a rebellion that will spark American Support. Maybe its wishful thing as I have known too many people who suffered under Castro Communism. People who lost loved ones—mouths taped shut so they could not shout a last minute call for a Free Cuba before the firing squads shot.

People under communism always suffer but few ever rise up in revolt. Communist governments are not afraid of using violence to put down any revolt (Tiananmen Square, Hungarian Revolt of 1956 as examples). A revolt can be successful if they have outside help but President Trump is NOT going to repeat the Bay of Pigs, and many of the other nations in the area are more in support of the Communist than they are against it, and they are not going to help.

So I would be very surprised if Cuba becomes a free nation anytime in the future, keeping in mind nothing is permanent, it could happen.
