Democratic Sen. John Fetterman is breaking with veteran party strategist James Carville, arguing that Democrats should “win more elections” rather than change the rules. His remarks come as a response to Carville’s recent calls to pack the Supreme Court and confront the party’s “identity left.”
“I strongly rejected trying to pack the Supreme Court or to change those things,” Fetterman said on “Saturday in America.”
“When I ran for the Senate back in the ‘21, ’22, I rejected those things,” he added.
The difference in opinion between Carville and Fetterman underscores a growing divide within the Democratic Party between reformers and moderates who want to maintain existing institutions.
Earlier this month, Carville appeared on “Saturday in America” and voiced support for adding four liberal justices to the Supreme Court if Democrats retake the White House in 2028, saying the party should consider expanding the court to 13 justices.

Carville is trying to stay relevant. He hasn’t been since 2000.
This is the week when he goes all in with the radicals and attacks the establishment for not fighting hard enough. Next week he’ll switch back to his moderate routine, criticizing the extreme left and talking about “it’s the economy, stupid”, and the need to connect with average voters.
Ross Perot made this moron’s career allowing him to grift for years off of being “the genius who got Bill Clinton elected.
I never envisioned in my wildest dreams that John Fetterman would ever be the voice of sanity in the RAT party.
Has anyone seen or heard from Mary Matalin in years? I wonder what she thinks of Carville’s descent even deeper into the depths.

I would expect it considering that their shadow leader has been brainwashing his minions for 16 years….more control that way, but it can’t be done with Jews and Christians. We are not to be tolerated.
And forget patriotism. They just tell the military to listen to them, not the commander and chief. Mark my words, they are evil and should NEVER be underestimated.

Wanting to pack the court with partisan justices doesn't make you a reformer, it makes you a radical. This is Carville revealing his Jacobin heart.
Carville sounds sensible sometimes and has a reputation as a moderate, but what he really is is a pragmatist which is a very different thing. He's a big time lefty at his core but values moderation as a tactic.
For instance, he'll chastise progressives for being too woke because it alienates the normies, but you'll never hear him disagree with wokeness as a matter of principle. That's because like 95% of "liberals" he's accepted the basic premise of socialism, and therefore is no different than the most outwardly radical Marxist in his core beliefs.
