Cheney funeral service ignites fresh talk of ‘uniparty’ as establishment pols mingle without Trump

On Thursday, a gathering of people who many on both the political left and right view as the so-called "uniparty", attended former Vice President Dick Cheney's funeral. Notably absent and reportedly not invited were the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and his Vice President, JD Vance.

The mixture of mourners included both Republicans and Democrats, some of whom formerly referred to Cheney in unflattering term. Atendee Rachel Maddow of MS NOW referred to him as "the maestro of terror politics.

Others in attendance were former Presidents George W. Bush, Joe Biden, former Vice Presidents Kamala Harris and Mike Pence, Senator Adam Schiff, political commentator James Carville, and former NIAID director Anthony Fauci.

No surprise Trump not invited

It's not much of a shock that Trump was not invited and, by association, Vance. Cheney, who endorsed Harris for president in 2024, characterized Trump as a coward and a liar and said that "in our nation's 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump."

Trump slung plenty of aspersions Cheney's way as well. He repeatedly criticized Cheney's role in the Iraq War, accusing him of lying about weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) to justify the invasion. In a 2025 interview, Trump said the Bush-Cheney administration "spent almost a trillion dollars on the Middle East, blowing up everything, killing people all over the place, engendering tremendous hatred... and then we leave, with nothing."

Many of the attendees have viewed Trump, from the advent of his first campaign in 2015, as a political outsider, a man whose wealth and influence liberated him from the historically-required dealings and favor-trading in Washington.

The "uniparty" crowd holds that despite surface-level partisan fighting, establishment Democrats and Republicans in...

Alot of talk about Trump not being there, but I haven’t seen a word about the absence of Obama and Michell.

Does this surprise anyone? At Obama’s inauguration Cheney was practically booed out of the building.

Obamas were absent. Clintons also were absent. Not much talk about that from the usual Democrat suspects.

If you don’t know which way the wind blows with these arseholes by now you’re dumb as AOC and Kamala. Dry powder and vigilance, boys and girls, one day it’ll be game on. IMO

Funny thing, I seem to have missed the announcement of his death on Nov 3rd

Looking at the list of attendees at his funeral, seems more democrats showed up than Republicans

Fauci was conspicuous by his presence.

Yes, Deep State indeed.

Ty Cobb Holds a Press Conference Departing the White House

November 22, 2025 | Sundance

President Trump delivers remarks to the assembled press pool as he departs the White House for a meeting at Joint Base Andrews with golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.  President Trump is restoring the recreational area at Andrews AFB and Nicklaus will be designing a complete update to the golf course.

President Trump answers questions from the press pool as he departs, including questions about Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ukraine/Russia conflict, sending national guard troops to New York City and much more.

Please note that on the MTG issue, President Trump notes the relationship she began with Thomas Massie is the issue that created the conflict between Trump and MTG.  This point underscores the information previously provided about how Sea Island and ¹Ron DeSantis are the forward faces of the networks purposefully dividing MAGA.  Thomas Massie has been working for the DeSantis crew for a while.

¹ Most people have not studied the political networks nor mapped out the behavior of the political owners to see the RdS program as it has unfolded for years.  At the core of the RdS owners stable is the Club for Growth PAC and their prior positioning for DeSantis to take the FL senate seat when Marco Rubio became Jeb Bush’s VP nominee.  That’s why RdS registered for Rubio’s seat in 2015.

[Sea Island Backup] When the ³Jeb/Rubio plan failed in ’16, the after effect (yes, an actual long-term plan) was RdS leaving congress in ’18 to run for Florida Governor and then later for ’24 GOP nomination.  [McIntosh and CfG always planned this.] RdS was always going to run in ’24; watching the ²journey makes the predictions easy.  That’s how CTH predicted DeSantis 2024 run in ’22 when everyone else said, “no way.”
[²The RGA gave DeSantis $20 million in 2023 because the Republican Governors could not factually fund a ’24 GOP nomination run, but they could fund a reelection effort early, which DeSantis could then transfer to his leadership PAC]
[³When you hear stories of the Bush family (Rove/Murdoch et al) planning a comeback after MAGA, this is exactly what this crew is talking about.  The horse you know as Ron DeSantis, is owned by Sea Island stables and trained by Bush Inc.]

In 2015 when CTH first came forward with full support for Donald Trump, I said Trump will win and he will be known as the Ty Cobb of American Presidents’.   In 2025, I respect and value this man for the same reason I did ten years ago.

I fully support Donald Trump because the alternative is to support a Republican.

“Cheney funeral service ignites fresh talk of ‘uniparty’ as establishment pols mingle without Trump”
I guess this is an example of a slow news day bumping up against a deadline.
It is a rather stupid premise.

The news coverage of his passing was overshadowed by the news media giving saturation coverage to the off year elections the next day.

Dick Cheney didn’t kill Antonin Scalia when they went hunting together. So that’s one good thing to his credit.

The Dems and the RINOS both want a return to Bush representatives for the GOP party. Those are the ones such as Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger who make sure the Democrats get all their policies passed into law.

Cheney’s funeral was a bipartisan event of corrupt power-hungry politicians who are never-Trumpers because our President derailed their gravy train.

The RINOs never intended to keep the promises of their campaigns. For decades, they’ve sucked money out of the taxpayers to line their and their families’ pockets.

If the current voters don’t put them back in charge, they’ll replace us with more cooperative voters. Non-voting conservatives need to get off their butts and to the polls to vote for true American loving Patriots. In the mid-terms we need to overwhelm their cheating plans.
