Canteen Mission Statement
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies' military and family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Wow! Beautiful! U.S. Air Force Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, stack together during a flyover in formation over the crowd at the Point Mugu Air Show at Naval Base Ventura County in California. (U.S Navy Photo by Dana Rene White/Released)
So Cool!! Two F-22 Raptors perform a flyover and air demonstration during noon meal formation at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Events such as these aim to cultivate warrior ethos, a future-focused mindset, and supplement existing character, leadership, and officer development efforts with the cadets. So Cool! The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, in F-18 Super Hornet jets sharply maneuver away from one another after approaching show center in a tight formation during the Point Mugu Air Show at Naval Base Ventura County in California. Whoa! Airman 1st Class Morgan Nguyen, a weapons loader assigned to the 149th Fighter Wing, Air National Guard, loads 20 millimeter ammunition into the F-16 Fighting Falcon during Coronet Cactus at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. Coronet Cactus is an annual training event that takes members of the 149th Fighter Wing, headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, to Phoenix to participate in a simulated deployment exercise. Drink Up… A volunteer drinks water during a weed warriors event hosted by the Environmental Compliance and Protection Division, Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The ECPD held the event in an effort to remove invasive plant species and debris from the Nu‘upia Ponds wetlands wildlife management area. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christian Tofteroo) Please remember that The Canteen is here to support and entertain our troops and veterans and their families, and is family friendly. |

A fun day for Gizmo yesterday. Got to see his BFF, Ringo, and found a smelly spot to roll in in the rocks. LOL
Lookin’ a little soggy over your way tonight. I hope you don’t get storms that will run Gizmo under the bed.

Yum. I always crave roasted corn when you talk about that yummy corn. So smart to freeze it. I’ve gotten to where I don’t eat corn anymore. Can’t find any that tastes worth the trouble of making the mess. LOL!
NY Texan made THE best roasted corn. He did it at The Mayor’s house and also at MS.BEHAVIN’S house, and my hubby and I were there to have some of it. And he just about lost his mustache and eyebrows. LOL! Well, it seemed funny at the time.

Hi, EGC! Looks like y'all had a lot of fun there at Wichita Ridge.
That is a pretty view that Gizmo took you to see.
He looks like he would love to swim in the lake. Is that and island out there?

Um, it seems like it.I think in some cases you could walk to it but if it rains a lot the walk to it would be wet.
